Nestled in the heart of the picturesque old village Koutouloufari, with distinguishing architecture and colours this small and friendly hotel offers superb sea views and a quite environment to relax and unwind. Spread on a hillside among olive groves this village style complex comprises of six charming buildings with Junior Suites, Apartments & Studios.
Guest services include reception desk with lounge area, Breakfast Buffet Room offering Continental, American and Local Cretan delicacy selections and a Pool Bar serving cocktails and light snacks. Two outdoor swimming pools one of which only for adults both surrounded with sun-terraces furnished with loungers and umbrellas with free internet access available. Attached to the hotel a Café-Bar open to public and, as an added convenience, there is free parking available to guests.

Lovely little complex , great location in the centre of koutoulafari, friendly staff who work very hard , spacious clean rooms with lots of storage space. The bathroom is very small and the sun loungers are uncomfortable but we are used to 4/5 star hotels. Due to cloudy weather most of our stay we were out and about a lot of the time and found pools with comfy longers to use. Basic but good quality breakfast when we tried it which was only a few times. We had a lovely room and would recommend this cosy little gem.

Lovely little hotel in the picturesque village of koutouloufari. Great location with stunning views, clean rooms, friendly staff, and delicious breakfast by Maria. Manos on the pool bar does a fantastic job, he really is the heartbeat of the hotel. Would definitely recommend coming here!

My daughter & I have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Koutouloufari, staying at the lovely Astra Village complex. The warm welcome and great service offered at these apartments made us feel right at home straight away. Whilst basic (standard studio accommodation) the apartment was well equipped, clean and very comfortable. The pool areas (one for adults only and one for families) were spotless & cleaned every day. There were plenty of beds and a friendly, helpful barman/pool attendant called Manos who greeted everyone with a smile. The staff are all lovely and it feels like you’re being welcomed into their family - Olga the housekeeper, Maria who runs the bar and another Manos on front-of-house can’t do enough for guests. Really made for a calm, relaxed and happy holiday. We went self-catering and there is so much choice of lovely restaurants, cafes & tavernas in the village - plus a couple of supermarkets & beautiful shops selling local crafts & produce. Koutouloufari is a traditional Greek village just a short walk (20mins) from the main resort of Hersonissos, but far enough away to maintain its authenticity. Absolutely loved visiting this area and Astra Village, in the heart of this beautiful village, is somewhere we will return to next year. We couldn’t believe how friendly and welcoming everyone was and look forward to seeing them all again next year.…

We have normally been to all inclusive resorts in recent years but with the prices rising so much, and with older, less fussy children now, I decided on an accommodation only holiday this year. I got a good price by booking direct, the savings made over booking via On The Beach etc paid for my hire car. Astra Village is right at the heart of gorgeous Koutouloufari, sleepy by day and bustling at night. Cafes and tavernas everywhere, what a beautiful location for couples and families. One mile and a bit down to Hersonnisos, so if you like to be away from the neon and young party crowd it's perfectly placed. There are great beaches within 20 minutes drive. Our accommodation was lovely, a sea / pool facing balcony. The room has been refurbished recently and is tastefully decorated. Cleaned meticulously every day except Sundays. The small team of staff are wonderful and made the stay special. Manos in the pool bar, Olga who looks after housekeeping and reception, night manager Manos, and especially Maria and Thanassis in the cafe bar. All of whom work very long hours to look after their guests, and they're always cheerful and so friendly. …

We've just returned from.another wonderful holiday in beautiful Koutouloufari, staying at Astra for our 12th year. The family and staff are so lovely, it really is home from home. A special mention to Maria who is such a sweetie. Our apartment had the most amazing views - we will definitely be back next year. Miss you already. Caroline and Andrew xx

I had an amazing solo trip to Crete! The hotel, though basic, was lovely with two pools. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly, always ready to help. I requested an extra room cleaning, which they accommodated without any additional charge. I made sure to tip the cleaner. The nearby restaurants were fantastic, and the town below was a short walk away, offering private beach clubs and a beautiful beach. For day trips, I recommend exploring the various village shops for better prices. My top dining spot was Souvlaki Time – the owner was delightful, and the best Souvlaki I've ever had was there! I'm already considering going back just for that.

Having walked out of our previous accommodation (The Romantica apartments (read the review of this)) We booked ourselves into This wonderful Accommodation which i find very hard to fault, Beautiful modern rooms and decor, air con included, Serve yourself breakfast a very good variety of choice, Very cheerful and helpful staff (Thank you Olga). Two pools one of which is adults only. All for £423 for 7 nights a real bargain when compared to the Romantica which "Love holidays" charged us £417 for 7 nights not including air con or breakfast. I would probably go as far as to say this is one of the best places we have stayed at. Thankyou Asrta Village

Perfect stay! Perfect experience, best hospitality of the staff. Especially Olga, who helped us alot. She has a great humor and can reccomend many thing to do in Crete. Rooms were celan and tidy and cleaner came everyday. Hotel breakfast was simple and really tasteful. Hotel has 2 pools and one of them has a bar with Fresh delicious cocktails. There was always a free sunbeds to sunbath. Hotel is out of city so at night there aint any city noises. Around the hotel there are many small shops and really good restaurants. Overall its lovely place to stay and highly recommend ❤️
