I would highly recommend this castle for a stay. Private, comfortable and a lovely welcome. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was very generous. The gardens are beautiful, and this was in winter. I will gladly return.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our road-trip through France. We had booked a special offer '3 nights for the price of 2' and we were quite happy with our choice. The chateau does not lie in the busy center, and...More

I stayed here for several nights in the pavilion room, and there was plenty of my room for just one person! The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was fresh with a wonderful bathtub and my new favourite gadget - a towel dryer. The...More

We spent 2 nights in this lovely hotel, which is centrally situated in the Loire valley. The surroundings were beautiful and the hotel itself was an older castle. We had a superior room which had good floor space and diet access to the garden. The...More

Difficult question to answer as it very much depends on y our own level of comfort. WE like a cool room, did not have a/c but had windows wide open as it is q unethical, and we were fine.

The hotel will be able to answer your questions, they are very approachable and knowledgeable. I am sure they can arrange a tour of the Loire Valley and will direct you to the nearest station for a train to Bordeaux.

Sorry but I have no idea. We used a rental car during our stay. Perhaps the hotel or the tourism office can answer.
