Sandhamn is located furthest out in the Stockholm archipelago with the sea horizon in the east. The small town/village has nice old buildings and nice walks. We arrived with our own boat and the harbour was quite busy with large and small boats and yachts and even a seaplane etc. It was a bit difficult to find a place to...

We have visited Seglarhotellet a number of times. The rooms are adequate but should not be the focus of your trips. Stunning panoramas, walks along the beautiful docks (for pleasure craft), app 30 min walk to the beach (bicycle is nice) and, more than anything, crazy parties at night (think Ibiza style). On most nights, but particularly during weekends, at...

Terrible Service and Attitude at Sandhamns Seglarhotel Witnesse a mother and child get forced out from Relax area by a GUARD. Mother and her daughter (10 years) were not allowed in the pool/Relax area. When she questioned their policy, why they were welcome during easter but not during Christmas weekends, the responsible person at relax area asked a guard to...

We booked one night with dinner package, breakfast buffe and access to their relax area. We figured it would be a nice way to unwind in the beginning of our vacation. We were wrong. It started out nicely with the receptionist giving us our room a bit earlier. A minus is that there are single beds only which kills the...

This hotel looks nice, the people are polite and the menus are quite appealing. We used the relax section and had a massage. Very friendly massage therapist with experience. The relax area isn't soo relaxing because kids are down there until 16.00 at least.. I guess it would have been calmer if we could have gone there later.. The staff...

On the negative side: stayed for two nights in room 229 and it was so hot that we had real trouble sleeping even with the window open. 25 degrees in the room at least... Breakfast room was very crowded and a lot of small kids everywhere, it would have been nice to be able to sit just a little bit...

I stayed at the hotel during the finishing days of offshore regatta, so the place was at its busiest & liveliest state. Perhaps, if it was off-season it would have been easier to excuse a really relaxed (to say the least) attitude of staff towards their duties. There were moments when I gave up waiting at the reception desk while...

If you give in to the old-fashioned charms of this older hotel, it can be a pleasant, though expensive, experience. The location and building are supremely picturesque, situated on the harbor a short walk from the ferry landing, and painted in the traditional deep red with white trim. First hint: there are no cars on the island; slow down and...

It is not easy to judge this hotel. I was there on a business trip and stayed for two days of meetings with the team. The facilities for that are outdated, wifi goes on and off but it definitely has its charm. The hotel has clearly had its best years. It is not very well maintained, the rooms are small...

Stayed here in the off-season with my hubby (hoping to show off one of the nicer parts of my heritage). Also thought we'd get decent service as the place was dead. How wrong was I... Paid through the nose for a pokey room out the back overlooking the rubbish bins (nice!). Decided to have a couple of drinks before dinner...
