I first staid here in early 2013 and loved it. Very basic but clean and right on the river. The view from my balcony was across the river into the jungle where I watched orangutans on 2 different occasions. Now there are new and renovated guest houses however Mboy had not changed And has deteriorated. Pillows, sheets, blankets looked the... More

One of the very few guesthouses directly on the river. Proprietor Elia made us feel welcome and served very good food (try the rosti for breakfast, or her chai tea). The room (we chose the upstairs room) was comfortable, and the bathroom had an enclosed shower. Minor maintenance would make it more worth the price of the room, however: the... More

Don't expect much and you'll be satisfied. No mosquito net (just drapes besides the bedpost) and one roach are the downside. Good bed, shower and toilet. Basic, but it only costs 150000Rp. And they have the password of the local wifi hotspot.

It's in a great location and you have a private balcony with jungle and river views. Perfect for a couple. Cold shower and tiled bathroom. Big bed and lovely wooden furniture. Loved it and would recommend.

....if you are on the riverside... My room and my friend's one were just great, with big wooden and/or bamboo furniture and a good mosquito net, although the bathroom, big and clean, had no shelves or anything to put something on it, which was very annoying for some one like me using contact lenses.. The coffee was delicious, too bad... More

We were on the room above the way (not on the river side) with a balcony. The room was very dark, but very nice (pretty much exactly what you could expect of a wood cabin in the jungle). Towels were provide, only one blanket though and the night was cold. Close to the nature, some monkeys were having fun on... More

I am 5 days into a 10 day stay at the MBoy and I love the location. Right on the side of the running river with a balcony looking directly across the river to the forest with monkeys usually in the morning and evening and one monitor lizard who seems to sleep (hopefully not dead) o a rock on the... We stayed here for 2 nights in may. The rooms are open so you can here the river and the monkeys while you sleep. We payed 100.000 rupiah per night, so a good deal. They serve no breakfast but there are many places where you can get breakfast. The balcony was situated with views on the river and jungle. If... More

Nice guesthouse with small but good rooms. We stayed in the150K (which we got for a 100K) room overlooking the river. Good bed and a nice balcony.
