Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI

The Travelodge Sunbury M3 hotel garners praise for its amicable staff and the cleanliness of certain rooms, though some visitors have encountered service delays and organizational mishaps. While the hotel's proximity to London is a plus, the industrial surroundings and noise pollution have not gone unnoticed. Guests often remark that the hotel, appearing worn and in need of a facelift, offers a mixed bag in terms of value, with additional charges for parking and Wi-Fi being a common gripe.

Reception was pleasant enough. The staff always look disinterested in Travelodges. Not sure why because when you go to Premier Inn, they are always friendly.

Room was warm and relatively quiet although you can hear road noise from adjacent motorway.

Car park is £5 per night payable by card or cash

Didn't try bar or restaurant

There is a village with loads of independents just a few minutes away and a large Tesco 5 minutes away

Would I stay again? Yes, at the right price (I paid £32 per night)

Good points !i stopped one night friday ,room clean bedding and towels very white could not fault .
Staff on reception and evening bar staff very polite and friendly ,
BAD POINTS
ON return to hotel 9pm we decided to have drink in bar breakfast area a few other people in there ,then we saw 2 security guards standing in the lobby ,strange for a travel lodge !
they then came and sat down looked as if watching lobby area .

Worse in the morning i believe they are housing homeless or refugees ,as when having breakfast wished i had not paid for as most tray empty ,had to wait to refill
asked for a fried egg was told we only do scrambeld, beans cold mushrooms cold tomatoes hard and this was 8.30 am !

then a young man in hoodie up came in from outside dripping wet just walked in breakfast room took a plate filled up with food walked straight over to the lift !!

was going to ask for refund for breakfast but no one on reception when we left

not good travel lodge but handy for thorpe park chessington

This hotel is in a very convenient location at a junction of the M3, has ample parking at a reasonable price, and is also located a short walk from a decent selection of shops / food outlets.

Its basic, but if you pay a low price, its consistent with that. Service was very friendly, the rooms big, and everything worked. We didn't have an issue with road noise but our room wasn't directly facing the motorway.

The breakfast was very average - given its free for kids and an unlimited buffet I can live with that, but don't expect quality food.

We booked a night at this hotel. Check in was quick and easy. Lady was friendly.
I noticed ALOT of vans. I guess it was a popular place for workmen to have a rest between jobs etc.
We walked into a room which felt exactly like a sauna. There was a a fan running which seemed to have made the room hotter. We all had a shower but within 2 hours we could barely breath. Started feeling nauseous and claustrophobic. We could only open the window a very small crack. Understandably for safety they had put measures in place to open the window fully. Tried tp catch someone on the the front desk (which was nice and cool from aircon) but found a notice saying they were away for now but ring the number stated below. I felt abit strange that anyone could walk in with no security. Even though doors had card swipe system going into the corridors we could open the doors without swiping our card. So it was basically open to anyone. We left the room key in the box on front desk and left.
Room was clean and spacious but if a hotel cant provide basic aircon then atleast let us fully open the windows. It was horrendous. I wonder if any of the bosses would actually spend a night in such a hotel room with that heat.

After a few hours we decided it was was literally life threateningly hot in that room. And we needed to get away from there.

Spend your money at a decent Premier Inn. That put me off travel lodge. Forever.

If you ever stay at the Travelodge in Sunbury on Thames (M3), make sure you ask for rooms that do not face the motorway. Before you settle into your room, please check the hot water is working and the soap dispenser is also working. It will be easier to get a room change, if you do your homework first. The staff is very friendly and will accommodate you with whatever you need.

This hotel is amazing we had a room booked somewhere else and they cancelled our room, so we quickly went to travelodge as we were very far from home, the nicely suited gentleman was so helpful and welcoming, he was able to to get us into rooms within minutes. The room was spacious and very clean. he was extremely helpful when it came to booking transport and we were on our way shortly after. As we checked out i asked if it would be ok to take his name so i can write a review about him and he, more helpful than ever, wrote it down for me. His name is dimitri i know most companies dont really do much for staff being mentioned in reviews but this is for you. Thank you so much you helped us out so much and gave us 5-star service we see you enjoy what you do and you spread that joy across the hotel. You are awesome and dimitri is such an awesome name. The room was perfect the service was outstanding and the breakfast was very delicious and very affordable thank you very much : ) I would definitely recommend travelodge to anyone and everyone.

We were served to a really high standard, and the staff were so polite and friendly. Me and my partner stayed here for 2 weeks, and they were happy to be of service for pretty much anything we required for the entirety of our stay. I'd like to mention one member of staff in particular, Laura, who was extremely helpful, and meticulous when tidying our room, and provided me with fresh laundry/towels/extra sundries etc, whenever I asked and always with a smile.

Checked in at 10pm on Tuesday evening and greeated by a smiling receptionist. Laura was very polite & helpful indeed, went above and beyond and answered all my questions regarding my stay at this travelodge. 💯 praise goes out to her. Well done . Room was very clean and I had a comfortable stay. This now will be a permanent long term regular stay here due to my work, only wish I could get a regular good rate for a permanent 3 night weekly booking. Instead I’ve checked up coming dates & prices and can not believe how they can fluctuate and even checked by looking up weeks & months in advance and they can be considerably more expensive.
Come on Travelodge look after your customers who wish to be make long term weekly bookings.
