I stayed here while a business trip. The hotel has a great location, close to the restaurants and shops. The staff was always kindly and friendly and the room was clean and cozy. The breakfast was varied and very good.

This was my first stay at this hotel during the Reggae Geel festival. When I checked in the receptionist, Kathleen Goovaerts made several disparaging remarks about the reggae festival, which I overlooked and remained polite despite it making me feel quite unwelcome. She also said the only option for getting a taxi was to do it illegally and offered me... More

Hotel Roosendaelhof, a hidden gem, set within a leafy moat patrolled by ducks, in the lovely Belgian city of Geel. If you want straight or perhaps right angles with sharp edges, mirror flat walls, new contemporary furnishings, lights that come on in an instant, then I would gently push you toward another hotel, maybe in the centre town less than... Was on a business trip in Belgium for a customer in Geel. Found this Hotel very central located in the middle of a little park. The Hotel is only 350m from the center, but very quiet and peaceful. Woke up in the morning from the chatter of the "ducks". Nice breakfast and homely rooms.

There is never anyone in the reception area. We arrived late (around midnight) so I can understand that everything is locked up. Temp's are very warm, in the 30's. At breakfast I requested a fan for our room and my 87 year old mother-in-law's room. The attendant made a note of our room numbers. We returned to Roosendaelhof at 7... More

This is a beautiful hotel in a lovely location. My room had a balcony with the setting sun and river with ducks and wildlife. There is complimentary water and tea/coffee in your room and a lovely bathroom with a couple bath. The breakfast was beautifully presented and lovely local foods. I would love to stay again for either business or... More

Very nice old building just meters of the main square. They don't have a restaurant, so you'll have to go out for an evening meal, which can be esspecially during the week days, somewhat of an endevour. Two buildings, I stayed in the old carriage barn which tjey converted into lodging. Rooms are a bit on the small side, but... More

I have stayed here twice now when visiting Geel on business and if available I won't consider going anywhere else. A late Sunday night arrival for a meeting on Monday and owner/manager Kathleen made a special trip to help me check and get a well deserved beer after travelling all day from the UK. Rooms are a good size and... More

This hotel is located in a presbytery from the 17th century, with additional rooms in the old coach house. The surrounding moat almost gives you the feeling you're looking at a little castle, and the adjacent park gives the surroundings of this city hotel an unexpected green and beautiful aspect. And all that at a three minutes' walk from the... More
