The oxygen is sweet- good for taking several deep breaths. The views are spectacular- Kerio Valley, very photogenic. When it's foggy, it's wonderful. No bad pictures. The hike down is initially nerve-wracking, you feel the gravity pulling you. I recommend good knees- even average knees. The climb back up is not impossible. No next-day muscle aches to complain about. But I'm in decent shape. We paid an entrance fee of 200 KES pp, redeemable at the restaurant. Good service, overpriced average food.

The place is spectacular. To die for views, lovely escapades. But the service is really crappy. The management should really work on this! But otherwise, I'd recommend it to anyone if they're not hungry and out for good service

As you can see in the photo they had given, it looks like a photo or painting in reality. it has the most beautiful views i had seen in any resort, we can see the clouds kissing the ground, they have created a way for trekking ( advised for adventure lovers- bit difficult to claim back after enjoying the views from the depth of it ) they have a restaurant with good food to serve us when we are tired and back from climbing the view point.

Samich resort is located at beautiful edge of kerio valley and offers breathtaking views. It’s the place to be if you want to unwind for nature lovers. This was my first time here of many more trips to come. The weather might affect the views at times. There was an entry fee of Ksh 100 non-redeemable. Food took long to prepare so you can order and do a walk within the premises. P.S if you’re not fit enough don’t do a walk down the stairs to thatched tree house because going down the stairs is all fun and a great view but going back is awful.
