We spent the night at Sani Lodge and definitely got more than we bargained for. Exceptionally friendly staff assisted in sorting out a problem at the border. We were made to feel relaxed and comfortable the second we arrived. Staff are always smiling and we...More
Excellent! From hospitality to service to food and accomodation. Pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back! We booked the rondavel with amenities. Lovely room. The views were spectacular. Sad we missed the snow but have to come back for it.

Dear AmyVickesh. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to welcoming you soon again.
Hiked up Sani Pass to have a very friendly staff greet us, food was amazing, and the view incredible. Room was very warm with a little fire going, helped a lot as the temperatures went into the minus. Definitely planning a trip back very soon.

We do have gas heaters in each Backpacker rooms, however gas can be purchased from reception at R200, alternately you can bring your own cadac gas container. April is a good time of the year as far as temperature is concerned however it all depends on what you regard as cold. Temperatures would be around 18deg C at this time. The Backpackers does have its own lounge with a fireplace which is lit in the evening.
