I had a very good time here, my friends and I came to celebrate an anniversary/birthday.
When we arrived we had a very warm welcome we was able to order drinks and food fast.
The foods was so tasty and very fairly priced the waitress sybella couldn't do enough for us. I reccomend this place :)

Incredibly welcoming team here at the Twelve Knights. Catered to our Engagement party to a professional standard, went home feeling like we spend our money well and had a great time.
Food it always to a high standard and tastes great, the prices are fair and relatable to other establishments, however getting more for what you pay for at the Twelve Knights.
The staff are always friendly and professional, helping wherever they can even at busiest of times they always to be seen serving everyone with a retuptable standard.
Overall great experience.

We visited for a family meal and I was very impressed with the service me and the rest of my family had off a red headed woman unfortunately I didn’t have chance to catch her name. Anything we needed or wanted to change (we had some picky eaters) she was more than happy to help as it was very busy evening and she was alone working the restaurant and even brought our drinks to us instead of making us wait at the bar the girl deserves some praise for her hard work. Definitely a credit to the pub. Will be visiting again 👍🏻

Disappointment
We decided to stay at this country hotel for 2 nights to enjoy local food and explore the surroundings. It was a huge disappointment. Room small, equipment poor, service low quality. A good view was promised, but behind the window there was technical ventilation, which turned on regularly and roared, even at night.
The food at the bar was under every criticism: you had to wait a very long time for service, then you had to wait a very long time to prepare the food. We ordered water while we waited for the food, the waiter brought tap water, which smelled of chlorine. A similar situation was at breakfast: expensive and tasteless.
I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I went for a family birthday meal with 6 others and this was 1st time out for a meal for my father since the Pandemic. We've been to the twelve knights before the covid pandemic many times and had lovely meals, but this has got to be the WORST QUALITY meal I have ever eaten in my life , there was nothing positive to say about it .
I emailed the owners Brains Breweries that night and was offered 2 free meals but I would never eat there again and after asking me lots of questions haven't answered any more of my emails .
I've given them a week to respond before I wrote this review as I wanted to given them a chance but disappointingly no response. .
my recommendation is to avoid eating in this restaurant.

Pre booked for a supper meal, first visit here, all Covid 19 clearly adhered too & all restrictions put in place. I ordered the Gammon , which was a generous cut & cooked to perfection ( Well done Chef 👍). My husband had the Beer Battered Cod which was also very tasty & beautifully cooked.
It's a great building from the outside, plenty of spacious parking but an interior update would definately enhance this place to match the exterior. The staff were curtious, pleasant & extremely efficient. Many thanks .

I am a regular customer at the twelve nights. yesterday me and my wife came down with some friends, the manager who greeted us was horrible, she was horrible not just to us but other customers to. arguing with everyone about tables and just being awful to everyone. we were treated and spoken to like we were worthless, i have never had this here before but clearly this manager doesnt care. I have spoken to friends and other regulars and they have all said that the place has gone downhill since this manager arrived and i tend to agree. there was staff members bringing in chairs from another area so people could sit in the bar even tho we were denied a table at the bar are and so were others. will not be returning any time soon. such a shame, it used to be such a nice pub.

We’ve often been to The Twelve Knights as a good alternative to cooking at home, even going as far as staying there after family events. What an absolutely shocking experience last night was! The manager that was on duty had the worst attitude of any member of staff I have ever experienced. Mixed up tables, little to no social distancing happening in the “regulars” side of the pub and made to feel like a hindrance to the business. We used to love this place, seems as though new management have dragged it down to the pits. Disappointing to say the least. Times are tough but the way the lady spoke to us was unacceptable. Lady member of management had glasses with a pink top and short hair. Won’t be visiting again anytime soon

Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all the management and staff at the Twelve Knights public house for making our Xmas lunch very special and enjoyable. Our party enjoyed every mouthful and although the staff were very busy, they worked very hard at making the lunch festive, happy and enjoyable. Would recommend and definitely re-book our Xmas lunch there. Thank you all very much 👍🏼
