Unclean, unprofessional and absolutely the worst business meeting venue I have ever attended. Unclean conference room, random chairs covered in dirt and food. The cleaner arrived as the meeting was about to begin. The Projector cable looked like it had been chewed by a rat and kept disconnecting during presentations. Constant interruptions from other people as the venue had failed to produce a sign on the door to indicate what company was using the room. Staff them kept on interrupting presentations to take away water jugs. The lunch buffet was served without cutlery and took over 20 minutes to arrive, when it did, it was nothing like described in the booking. It was more geared towards a childrens party, I was half expecting the Hokey Cokey to come on. The water jugs had black bits floating in them. Absolutely disgusting. Certain guests were not booked in, the some were called the following day to say they hadn’t paid, when clearly they had. A couple of our guests had lunch the following day and had sandwiches with mouldy bread. I’m surprised that environmental health haven’t closed this place down. Overall, the staff have not been trained to effectively manage a conference and I suggest that this place needs to consider investing in a total refurbishment and deep clean if they wish to advertise this facility as suitable for a conference. Stick with tribute acts, close the kitchen and clean the bloody place.…
Stayed here whilst in the area filming, very friendly, clean and welcoming, superb staff who always have a pleasant manner. Breakfast is a bit dodgy so don’t expect anything to fancy saying that it’s adequate to set you up for the day. Definitely stay again if the situation arose.
Best hotel i have ever stayed in, staff are extremely friendly and helpful, no request is too great of an ask, the rooms are of a good size and very clean. Food in the restaurant was extremely tasty and we were served very fast, prices were very good and breakfast was lovely!! nothing bad to report, would definitely stay again! 10/10
We stayed at Blanco’s the night of a friends wedding as it was their recommended accommodation for the night. We returned to the room at the end of the night, room was ok, so far so good. However, around 1am I woke up to the sound of someone trying our door, and a couple of seconds later, the door opening and someone going straight into the bathroom and started being sick. Got out of bed and spoke to the (equally surprised) visitors, compared keys and they had been given the key to our room. I then had to get dressed and go downstairs to reception to deal with this. It was all sorted but obviously a stressful situation for all involved. The following morning (after a distinctly average breakfast) the manager was somehow surprised that I felt the need to make a complaint, and seemingly outraged when I suggested that some compensation might be in order, despite the obvious security risk and clearly ruined nights sleep. They requested I make the complaint in writing, which I did, they then took 2 weeks to ‘investigate’ to which the response was pretty much ‘sorry, it won’t happen again’. Since I questioned that outcome, my emails have been ignored for 4 weeks and no manager is ever available to take a phonecall, ‘working from home’ apparently. Total lack of professionalism and honestly a fairly shabby hotel.…
We had a lovely meal from a wide ranging menu. However would have given 5 if service was better. There were lots of staff in the dining room each with what seems to be a specific task! It took a while to find the person who would take our food order. Food was then slow in being served, though it was nice.
Stayed overnight after attending funeral in Margam. Excellent, biggest bed we have ever seen!so comfortable.and clean.Even though there was a big function at night, the room was well insulated and we were not disturbed. Breakfast in the morning was very smoothly run, plenty of cereals, yogurts and hot cooked food and tea and coffee. Only complaint,no information in the room regarding checkout time and meal times.
We booked two rooms and they were really good. The reception , bar area and restaurant are all on the ground floor and present very well. Bar prices seemed very reasonable. Breakfast was buffer style with plenty of food.
Despite many negative reviews on trip advisor,we had a really great evening at Blancos to watch the televised rugby ,a two course carvery meal which was so well organised , tasty and cheeseboard half time all for £20 . The staff were all really pleasant and helpful . We live locally and it’s not somewhere we’d have thought about frequenting ,but we all had a lovely evening, good food, great screens for rugby and great staff ,what more can you ask for.
Stayed during Storm Eunice. Allowed late checkout and very pleasant and accommodating staff. Good Wi-Fi Clean rooms and facilities Convenient location Great tasting food Enjoyed our time at this hotel
