Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very nice birthday celebration weekend at this 4 star hotel. Accommodation and housekeeping was excellent -- a large, well applied room and bathroom with a view of three of the five lakes. Food is excellent choice & quality. Restaurant service also excellent. Three meals a day are included in the price, four if you want a midnight supper. Same table is reserved for the whole stay with flexible meal times. There are two bars, one of which is huge, with prompt table service. Good choice of drinks is included in the all inclusive price. There is a large shop on site. The car park is very large and close to the main building. Entertainment is excellent, largely musical with dancing, in a very comfortable, large, night club style theatre. To say it's as good as or better than the West End is a bit if a stretch, especially in terms of variety and star names. But the performance standard and professionalism of productions is very good indeed. Lots of activities and sports are available, indoors and outdoors (weather permitting). Lots of game shows, quizzes etc. The whole place is very smart and comfortable. Check in was the quickest we have ever experienced. The staff were unfailingly polite, efficient, friendly, and helpful. The place is well organised and well run. The hotel does not accept children, but there was quite a wide age range, and the average age was probable somewhere in the 55-65 bracket. The atmosphere is lively but light hearted. Just a few negatives. There is no quiet lounge, per se, and the quieter bar is quite small and usually full at popular times. There is no alternative dining facility -- for example to have a mid morning snack instead of breakfast, or afternoon tea instead of lunch. Theatre entertainment was all musical, and some variety would have been welcome. The grounds could be more attractive, but perhaps they look better in summer. All in all a very good facility for a most enjoyable short break. It compares favourably with another well known UK provider of adults-only leisure hotels. We would definitely go again, and probably will.

This ALL Inclusive, Adults Only is as it says Five Lakes Potters Resorts The Check In was Smooth and expertly done. You are shown where your personal Dining table for the whole of your stay is. (We met up with Friends and we Potters sorted it easily so we were able to Dine at the same table. Our Premier Hotel room was Spacious, Clean and of 5 Star quality, with a huge Walk In Shower, with Potters Resorts own wash products. A Bed that was huge and VERY comfortable, along with it's pillows. The Restaurant Service and Meals were to die for. As was ALL the Drinks service throughout the day & night. The Staff are Magnificent. The Shows are SPECTACULAR of West End quality (if not Better!) With So much to Do/Activities in the Daytime and Evening Programme, we didn't want to leave. It like becoming one of the Family there. WE ARE DEFINITELY RETURNING very soon. We've been 'Potterized' that's for sure.

First time at this particular potters resort and it didn’t disappoint the entertainment was fantastic and the staff were excellent in every area we had a few minor problems with the food but to be fair it wasn’t as major issue ie roast potatoes were really hard and the same with the chips but there was plenty of choices to choose and you order your drinks at the Bar they then brought them to your table that works very well and finally we stayed in the village accommodation blocks the rooms were large and comfortable less than 5 minutes walk from the main hotel and entertainment centre we will most definitely be going back there

Visited 5 Lakes once again and it gets better each time. Food, entertainment, indoor and outdoor facilities, staff & all inclusive drinks are second to none. All the Potter family want their guests to have a good experience. Which we certainly did. Going back in May. Throughly recommended, 5 stars 🌟

Fist time at potters we re booked when we left. There is so much to do and so well organised. The rooms are ok but the bathrooms are so outdated. Food very good, and entertainment was really good even though just my opinion too much singing even though they were good. Never had to wait long for drinks as you have to order at certain places with your table number and they serve it to you.

Went for my birthday with my mum. Caitlin done my massage was amazing I would give her 5 stars. However when given my fruit I had mould on the food end up throwing up in toilets, then told staff they did give me alternative but I asked for no fruit and was given a slice of cake with cherrys on the food is clearly kept in fridge and isn’t fresh. Hot tub/Jacuzzi wasn’t working, pool was cold and felt staff looked at us judgemental. But would recommend the massage and Caitlin was really nice person and was very kind

Hotel rooms are lively and comfortable. Village rooms are also comfortable but we muchnprefer the hotel rooms. Much better for older people to stay in the hotel as inclement weather not good walking outside to the village. Entertainment first class as is the food 😋

Visited Potters Five Lakes multiple times since it opened. The facilities are great, so many activities to do and always a quiz/game show etc put on by the Entertainment Team. The evening shows are West End quality and all of the staff are so friendly and helpful. As it’s all inclusive it represents excellent value for money. Would highly recommend.

Over all this is a fun place. Definitely not 5* Food is average. Although the vegetarian option, (only one per meal), was usually good. My room was in the Village. Be warned it is a fairly long walk back at night in the cold. The bed was marshmallow soft but had lots of pillows. The only thing was that my bathroom floor which is beautiful shiny black marble was not swept or mopped the whole time. Everything else is spotless.
