The story of Omadhoo Inn begins as many good stories do – on a far-flung island, in a tropical sea. It is here, on Omadhoo Island, that three brothers, Faisal, Fathih and Fazeel, spent their childhood days. Hours were passed swimming in the lagoon, fishing with their father, and chasing crabs on the beach. Life was simple and good, and days drifted past like the boats on the horizon. Although these brothers are now fully grown, life has barely changed on the island. Every islander now has a mobile phone and wifi, but our days are still spent on the shoreline, and our front doors are still left unlocked for neighbours to pop in throughout the day. Life in Omadhoo is lived slowly. Here, every day revolves around what’s important: family, friendship and fish! And now we, those three brothers from the story, are on a mission to share this way of life with the world. Having never forgotten the bliss of our childhood days, we have built Omadhoo Inn for travellers from around the world to experience that same carefree way of life. In Omadhoo, guests can see the real Maldives, away from the expensive resorts. In Omadhoo, you’ll get to live amongst the islanders; to wake with them at morning light, to run the sandy roads to the beach with the local children, and to catch your own dinner, shoulder to shoulder with the island’s master fishermen. Nobody knows Omadhoo better than us. We know the trees with the coolest shade, the coco palms with the sweetest nuts, and the spots with the best view of the evening sun. Our story is one of family, and of tradition, and we’d like to invite you to become a part of it.

Detailed Reviews
This inn is amazing! They’re incredibly accommodating and helpful in getting you there from the airport. They run their own excursions with captains, fisherman and dive masters who care about and are knowledgeable about their ecosystem.
This family owned and run place really goes above and beyond to make sure you’re happy. Because its a smaller place (4 rooms available) they treat you like family and genuinely want to ensure you have a great stay. I highly recommend, they exceeded all expectations.

I visited Omadhoo with my family (wife, 4yo son and 11 months old daughter) and we spent wonderful 16 days there. Omadhoo Inn was perfect choice. Intimate and cosy place, only 4 rooms, with patio where you can relax and enjoy your coffee or tea (free of charge). Everything was super clean and staffs were kind to help us with anything (thanks a lot to everyone).
We had all meals in Omadhoo Inn (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and it was very good choice. Meals were just delicious, a lot of fish and salads. Even it was delicious, they did their best to improve it and hire new Chief to upgrade the kitchen. I will miss all that food! Plus they did special dinner at the beach with sea food, Maldivian night (local food only) and beautiful surprise for Christmas.
Island of Omadhoo is amazing place. Not only has beautiful bikini beach, but also local beach on the other side of the island is very nice. There is loooong pier where you can go and see a lot of fish, rays and sharks. Or breathtaking sunset.
Reef for snorcheling is available right from bikini beach and it is just worth to explore!
If you plan to go to Maledives, include Omadhoo into your plans. And if you go to Omadhoo, be sure you stay at Omadhoo Inn!

As somebody who combined guesthouse stay at Omandhoo Inn and afterwards went to resort, I can only say Omadhoo Inn all the way. Being guest of our host Cartoon and his crew, we trully seen what Maldives are. Omadhoo is great island, still with small amonth of tourist and undeveloped(in positive way) so it is perfect for someone who is seeking peace and relaxation.
Whole Omadhoo Inn crew did maximum to fill all of our needs, we really got personalized vacation which you can only get if the owner is preset and visible, and this is where is real difference to resorts. Yes, in resort is all eye candy and is really nice too, but it is not authentic. Being in resort in Maldives, Jamaica, Costa Rica or Thailand is pretty much the same.
I recommend all of their excursions: desert island overnight, desert island daily trip, live bait fishing, manta and whaleshark, turtle trips...
Cartoon also arranged scuba diving with Areef who is holiding diving center on Omadhoo, which was excellent.
They also did Maldives night for us with whole Maldivian band where they sing and dance traditional style. Last night beach dinner under candles and stars. Overall you really get value for your money.
Thank you for all guys, especially Sunny and the Chef who made great barbacue fish.
Keep it up.

We stayed at Omadhoo Inn for 5 nights and it was so far the best Maldives local island experience ever.
The bikini beach faces the sunset, every day we are looking forward to watch the magnificent sunset, the children of the island come down to play on the shore catching autoplus ,it is perfect to get to know the local life of the island. In evening n night time, you can see all the beautiful coral fishes, rays and sharks around the jetty, also very close to the bikini beaches.
The price is really good, the facilities are nicely kept, the staff is amazing, the food is super good... we don't know what else to say :-) Please give our greetings to the whole staff including the awesome chef ! We would definitely come again.

We had an amazing time here. Jannaat and Rasheed (sorry for the spelling) were unbelievable . Kind, and the food was always tasty and plentiful. First night they were unaware that we were vegetarian, (sorry) and they accomodated us very quickly (thank you for this!!). Our last night they set us up on the beach where they made lifesize whale sharks and manta rays out of the sand. Very cute. We enjoyed the island. The bikiki beach is a good 10 minute walk from the hotel. THe dock at night with all the sharks and rays was very cool. We really appreciated our stay, it was a lovely time! Highly recommend.

I spent one week at Omadhoo Inn and SCUBA diving with their amazing team. It’s almost impossible for me to put into words how wonderful of an experience it was staying here. This place is a hidden gem!!!!
I booked my stay through an external agency without visiting their web site. Since Omadhoo Inn is considered budget accommodation compared to the luxury hotels in the Maldives I had very low expectations. Boy was I surprised and felt so lucky that I had found this place!!!!! Afterward I arrived I looked at their web site - everything you see on the web site is EXACTLY the way it is.
The rooms at Omadhoo Inn are spectacular and extremely good value. Spotlessly clean. Wonderfully comfortable beds. Crisp high quality linens throughout. Well appointed bathroom with a hot water on demand system. Silent air conditioning.
The reception, dining and public areas are professionally thought out in every aspect in order to make their guests as comfortable as possible. My first impression when I walked into Imadhoo Inn and my room was - WOW WOW WOW!!!! At one point, I started to worry whether my package quote was incorrect - the place is simply that good.
I booked a full board package. When I arrived, the chef sat down with me to determine if I had any dietary requirements. I opted for my first meal to be Maldivian specialties. After that first dinner ... I told the chef to serve me Maldivian food for the rest of the week. The food was so good and there was lots of it. I think I gained 3 Kg in the 7 days I was there!!! I'm on a diet now!
Imadhoo Inn offers various excursions. In addition to diving all week I opted for snorkeling with Whale Shark and visiting Picnic Island. These guys think of everything and all off these are very professional aiming to maximize the experience of their guests. They made my dream come true to see a whale shark!!! Picnic Island to put it simply is like visiting a Maldives Postcard scene. Stunning!!!!
Lastly, the family and staff that run Omadhoo Inn are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. Every day I was made to feel like a family member. I enjoyed wonderful conversations in the night filled with fun and laughter. At every stage of my visit from the pick-up and drop off at the airport, to arriving on the island, to the everyday interactions ... the family and staff always want to ensure their visitors are having the best time possible.
I loved staying on this local island. Walking to the dock every day I was welcome by the islands people ... kids smiling and waving hello to having chats with the local fishermen at high.
I loved Omadhoo Inn so much I am coming back in June. I can recommend this place without any reservations what so ever. If you are considering visiting the Maldives ... skip the big expensive resorts - and have a real Maldivian experience at Omadhoo Inn.

This is the best stay we ever been on, and we have been traveling quite lot…
These guys have a magic feeling, for taking care of their guests !
I can read, that the other guests had the same experience, and we agree in every word they are writing.
These kind of hospitality, can’t you get in 1000 luxury resorts together.
The Island itself, is very quiet and beautiful, and the people are very friendly.
From the bikini beach is it very easy to swim out to the house reef, and there you have great snorkeling.
The Beach is quiet and clean. There are nice sunbeds. Every time you are at the beach, the guest house put up a private sun umbrella for you.
We can also recommend to do any of the trips, that the guest house offers. You will not only see wonderful places. You will also have an really fun and interesting time with the staff, that are with you on the trip. It’s worth every dollar…..
They also arranged a “Romantic Dinner” on the beach, for us. They made us feel very special. Even that we have been married for 22 years, we felt young again :)
Nice clean rooms, comfortable beds, good food, barbecue evening. I can go on forever…….
It is not only the big things. Also the small things, that made this to a +10 stay.
We highly recommend Omadhoo Inn to any future guests, it was truly an exceptional stay.
Thanks a lot for the hospitality and the memories you created for us :)
Keep up the good work, guys !!

Omadhoo inn was the greatest traveling experience my whole life. Me and my boyfriend were in maldives for 17 days, and omadhoo was the last island we were, and definitely the best. At first, faisal (that is one of the owners of this guest house) received us at male , and took us on the speed boat to omadhoo ( you have the option to go on ferry boat, but it takes 4hours). When we arrived they presented to us all the staff. They took us to our room, on which we had an unexpected surprise (see photo with room decoration). The rooms are clean, have a really good smell, and very very comfortable. The guest house provided free wi-fi in all areas, free coffe, tea and water.
Then we went to see the beach, witch is very quiet, clean and has a very good house reef for snorkeling. After an amazing sunset we went back to the guest house and discuss the activities/ excursions with cartoon (manager of omadhoo in, and a very kind and happy person). We decided to do one overnight on desert island, night fishing with maldivian barbecue, one dive, trip to sand bank , and off course the AMAZING snorkeling with a whale shark (and also manta’s).
We really encourage people to do all this activities, specially the overnight on the deserted island and the snorkeling with whale sharks.
About restaurants: we did not search for any restaurants in this island because omadhoo in always surprised us with their inhouse restaurant/food.
About the breakfast: we can choose about the continental and the local breakfast, and booth are very tasty and will keep you very satisfied along the day.
Faisal, cartoon and all the guys make such a great team and family, that we can not wait to came back again. They made us feel at home, and provide us the best experiences in maldives. We give 10 starts to this guest house.
Thank you soo much for everything!!

The Omadhoo Inn is excellent, the rooms were clean and very nice, good food, our hosts did everything they could to make our vacation great. They offered us wonderful tours and activities for the duration of our stay there, we spent a lot of time with them. We went fishing with them and with some local fishermen, there were moments that we all felt like we are participating at a chapter of the National Geographic.
We did snorkeling and diving with their professional dive instructors at the beautiful reefs of the Maldive islands. We enjoyed every moment, it was a warm and cordial hospitality, at the last evening they even surprised us at dinner time - it was wonderful! !
The Omadhoo Inn is located in a beautiful local village. Our hosts even helped us a few days after we left when we needed them. All these made our vacation simply great! WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND OMADHOO-INN!

We stayed at Omadhoo Inn over a four day period and undoubtedly enjoyed one of the best guesthouse experiences we had in the Maldives. From the bright, relaxed, open-air ambiance of the guesthouse to the detailed attention to decor, local brothers Faisal, Fasil and Fathih have created an exceptional boutique retreat in Omadhoo. We appreciated the many unique experiences that they provided during our stay including an acoustic guitar performance in the evening, local delicacies and gourmet meals (from barbequed spider conch and mas huni to spaghetti aglio e olio and fresh espresso) and the opportunity to enjoy a variety of personally tailored excursions. The snorkeling around Omadhoo is exceptional and Fathih organized trips to one of the most abundant reefs we have ever snorkeled including turtles, spotted eagle rays, white-tip reef sharks, napoleon fish, and moray eels in a single half hour. We also enjoyed a night-fishing trip which was an excursion we did not see offered anywhere else we stayed. Although we didn't catch much, we had the chance to see phosphorescent plankton light up the sea while also viewing the dark night sky full of stars while moored in the middle of the ocean - magical! It should be duly noted that every time we mentioned a particular interest or curiosity, the brothers would ensure to include it during our stay - we had noticed an interesting fruit growing nearby in the trees and asked about it; we were told it was screwpine and when we mentioned an interest in tasting it, they organized a traditional Maldivian dinner which included various preparations of the fruit. Our transportation to and from Omadhoo was organized efficiently by the inn and Faisal was present at the pier in Male to ensure smooth transfers to and from the island. We highly recommend Omadhoo Inn to any future guests, it was truly an exceptional stay.
