Made the walk up to the tower on Kinpurnie Hill, it was tough going for me at times but well worth it for the views up the top! I enjoyed the walk through the wooded area (the Den) but be prepared to be eaten alive by midges at this point. When you come out of the wooded areas the path...

I live very nearby and can access the Tower from either the village, or via cross country from the South (Dundee) side. It's far easier from the village though, as you need some local knowledge otherwise. Starting from the Den (clearly marked, although parking can be tricky . . . .far easier to park in the village and walk the...

We chose to walk up to the tower on a bright clear day in October. We parked in Newtyle and walked to Denend farm and up the well looked after path through pretty woods next to the burn. The walk beyond the woods was steep and hard work. It took over an hour from the start of the walk until...

Great cottage in fab location, lovely walks from the door. Very spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable, easy to find with directions given. Owners left ua a lovely Christmas gift basket, really nice touch. I think for now we were the last visitors to this cottage as the estate has been sold. If it starts up again as a holiday rental,...

We stayed at the Bothy in Dec 2012 for one week to celebrate my birthday. We really wanted somewhere with a hot tub and open fire and came across the Bothy on the internet. It met our expectations and more! Clean, well presented, cosy, super comfy bed, quiet area in the countryside. Easy walking distance to Newtyle and easy transport...

We stayed in West Keith Cottage for 4 nights in October as part of our honeymoon tour of Scotland. We wished we had booked for longer. This cottage is truly amazing. It was well equipped, comfortable, clean and welcoming. The bed was so comfortable, and could have lit the log burner if required. We loved the sound system which was...

When we arrived the farmhouse was freezing ( this being April 2012 the weather was not fab) we put it down to the heating not having been on for long WRONG it was not...
