Stayed this time at Kaisers Kabin - wasn’t my favourite as no shower for the 2 bedrooms upstairs and I wasn’t a fan of the spiral staircase (headroom not great ) but that is just my opinion, everything else is just as good. Where the cabin is situated is very private and the outlook is beautiful . Hot tub on the decking was a great place to watch the otters - will definitely be returning next year. Thanks to James and family for another great stay x

Stayed at the Island Lodge for four nights .Wow what a great place this is to stay . The cabin definitely had the wow factor as soon as we stepped inside . There was everthing you needed in the cabin especially the two large crates of logs for the log burner / fire pit . The cabin was perfect/ peaceful and felt totally secluded. This place is perfect to totally relax and unwind . Had some extras two fluffy robes / hot tub and the electric outboard motor for the boat ( took the boat out every morning for a peaceful ride around the lake ). And a big thank you to James for coming out to sorting the hot tub out ( just had to text him and he was there within 10 minutes) , which was great to relax in and take in the scenery . On the first evening while sat on the chairs on the jetty we had a otter put in an appearance so for one hour sat there totally quiet watching it catch fish . As first timers can definitely say will be booking again. …

This was out second visit to log house holidays. We came at Christmas a couple of years ago and booked as soon as we left for this September's week holiday with all the family. We stayed at Mayo landing and all I can say is WOW. The best relaxing weeks holiday. The weather was amazing, the pool an added bonus and the log house had everything you could need. James and his staff were all really accommodating and helpful. The grounds are kept immaculate. Nothing was too much trouble. If you are thinking of booking, do it! This is a real.treat for relaxation and family time. We will be back! Thank you log house holidays.

As the title says, another incredible stay at Log House Holidays, and specifically Lake Springs House for the second year running! For a full, comprehensive review please see my review from last year as no re-invention of the wheel is necessary! Suffice to say that this year's stay was just as incredible as last years, it was like home from home! James and the team from Log House Holidays were again, as always, very helpful and on hand when needed, but at the same time respectful of the privacy you are seeking with being in such a wonderful place! It was just the same as last year, the cabin was very clean and comfortable and nicely equipped with all the essentials that you could need for a self catering stay. The full circular walk around the lake is definitely worth doing, it's on a nicely laid gravel path with a few places to stop and rest along the way, especially in the heat of when we were there this June, although some of the walk is through trees too so some relief from the sun. The walk took us just under an hour to do, but could be done quicker, but I couldn't walk more than a few paces before stopping to take photos of all the incredible wildlife! Talking of wildlife, we saw lots of Geese, Ducks, Swans, Terns and also some more unusual animals including an European Green Woodpecker and a grass snake, and not forgetting a red fox that startled me as he was moving through the tall grass by the firepit! I will reiterate what I said last year, this is an amazing place to come and relax, unwind and completely forget about the rat race. Log House Holidays have created an amazing, peaceful haven to escape to and sit and watch the wildlife, whether that is out on the lake, sat on the decking or from within the hot tub, needless to say we did not want to leave at the end of our stay! In fact, before we had left, we booked to go back again next year! …

Thank you to all the team at Log House Holidays for an unforgettable family holiday. So many treasured memories: cycling round the lake to our 'secret cove:' seeing the delight and pride on my two daughters faces once they mastered the kayaks; songs and marshmallows round the campfire; evening dips in the gloriously heated pool.... just tranquility, relaxation and family fun surrounded by the beauty of nature. We really feel that at Log House Holidays nature comes first and it was wonderful to be a part of it for our week away.

Having read the reviews and the Company information on the website, it was precisely what we found when we arrived. It was delightful in every way, because a good deal of thought had been given to make it as exclusive as it is. The small things that make a huge difference were catered for, from the facilities to the essential. Blessed with weather in March, it was a heavenly break and I could not recommend it more highly. The lodge was very comfortable, warm and inviting and good use was made of the rowing boat and BBQ. Instructions were clear and the response to any request was immediate. Frankly I cant fault the aspiration of Anthony to produce a unique and exquisite holiday.

As a group ranging in age between 8yrs and 70+ we need a flexible, interesting break. We stayed at Kaiser's Cabin. The house is clean, well equipped and dog friendly. The Lake is beautiful and an ever changing wildlife spectacle. A walk/run/bike ride around the lake is lovely. The nearby Thames pathway allows longer walks. The hot tub is essential. We used the boat, hired paddle boards and caught pike. We toasted marshmallows; watched otters; skimmed stones; dined at Rectory and local pub. The cabins are booked up months ahead- a very special place !

Cannot fault log house holidays in anyway, such a relaxing peaceful place to stay just what we needed and to celebrate my birthday there was just amazing, from boating on the lake to toasting marshmallows around the fire under the stars I can understand why it gets fully booked so quickly we will definitely be back that’s for sure

Our first stay at LHH was at the Moondara back in 2009, with a follow up stay at the same cabin in 2011 & 2012. The next family stay was at Elsa in 2013 & 2014. After a short break we returned to LHH to try out the next cabin, Island Lodge in 2020. This year it was time for Keno Lodge, after coming across a cancellation online for a weekend stay. Previously we have had excellent breaks away at LHH and this time was no exception! Even though this was our first time at LHH during December, we had a glorious blue sky albeit cold, however the cabin was cosy and warm (made even better with the log burner!). If the views at LHH were not stunning enough, we were lucky to wake up to possibly the next greatest sight, snow!! This made our visit even more magical, although it did stop us from going on the rowing boat (the kids love the row ). After a quick snowball fight outside and photo's taken of the scenery, we dashed back in and sat down to a lovely log burner experience 🙂 All in all we had a great time yet again, albeit a short one! Just as well we have another booked up in 2023 😉 Thanks again to James and Anthony for providing the perfect location for a relaxing getaway.…
