Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came over from Swindon for a long weekend to visit some friends over there close to the b&b. We were greeted with a smile when we first entered. The owners were fantastic. they went above and beyond with making us feel welcome. The staff were so friendly and always served with a smile. The food was amazing. freshly cooked and great portions. Overall an amazing experience and will definitely be returning when back over there.

We took two friends for Sunday lunch. It was the best Sunday lunch we had ever had at a restaurant. Wonderful homemade Yorkshire puddings, crispy roast potatoes, tasty and plentiful gravy. The hosts could not be more attentive and welcoming. We will return again and again!!!

We stayed for 2 nights this September, first impressions were perfect, arriving late at lunch time but were sorted in double quick time with a smile and lovely lunch. The room was big and very comfortable with all you would need and a big comfortable bed. Our hosts Sean and Steve were really great and gave us their time, help and friendship while ensuring every thing was perfect for our stay. We really felt at home with the staff, food and all exceptional. So guys you are great hosts running a really excellent business, we WILL be back hopefully in 2022 Kieran And Sheila (Ireland)

We decided on a last minute trip our for Sunday lunch and wow! are we glad we found this place. The food was beautiful and our appreciation shown by our empty plates. The waiting staff were very friendly and highly accommodating, even adapting a side order especially for my demanding husband :-) If you are looking for good food in a friendly surrounding, then look no further. My roast dinner was perfect and reminded me of Sundays in the UK, followed by a generous portion of pudding. My husband and the steak and blue cheese pie, which was delicious and will be my next menu choice on our next visit. There is nothing to fault with this place and I highly recommend it. Just as a side note; it was great to see both French and English eating here, which says a lot in itself.

Although we live in France now just had to have that good old Sunday Roast. Called and spoke to Steve who managed to find us a table even though it was a very busy time of day. On arrival we found that in these worrying times the social distancing and hygiene Covid rules were spot on and 100%. Can't thank and recommend the proprietors and front of house team for a first class, friendly, top class service and meal. Food would rate in my opinion up there with the best we have eaten since retiring out here in this beautiful country. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND a visit we will definitely be returning for one of the many musical themed evenings very soon, very reasonable price for a very extensive menu with both French & English cuisine. A very welcome visit today to cure a very busy night before I will say no more than a great bit of English hospitality and food with the French weather and surroundings. Thanks again to all cheers Trevor

We stayed here for three nights in early Feb. A warm welcome from Steve and Shaun and all the locals and staff who went out of their way to talk to us. We ate in the restaurant each night and the food was great and the portions huge!
