Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Although the rooms were new for 2015 they were still experiencing problems. We stayed for two nights bed and breakfast and on first impression the room seemed okay. It was clean and fresh, decor was newly done, ensuite was adequate and the bed was comfortable. However, if you wanted a lie in this was impossible due to the 'macerators' in the ensuites being very annoying. Other guests rising and using facilities created the most horrendous noise!
We found that there was a lack of hanging space (there wasn't a wardrobe just four coat hooks) which wasn't sufficient. The window, which opened onto a flat roof was impossible to close, therefore we couldn't leave anything of value in the room. This was reported to the management who said that they didn't know anything about it but it must have been from when they were broken into!!! WiFi was offered free but never worked.
My husband was satisfied with his breakfast but I found it 'mediocre' ' due to the lack of choices available. Coffee was horrible!
The establishment was never full despite there being an attached touring site and the main bar needed updating and a thorough clean. Although the staff were very friendly and helpful we found that their surroundings let them down.

So this was a last minute booking for Cadwell Park a little way out but was all that was available. So after the racing we drove there we had chosen this one as it did food and had a bar ( two chaps travelling!!)
Turned up place a little empty , looked ok - eventually got into our very clean room , the plan was quick shower, couple of beers and then early night as we had had an early start and were a bit done.
The bloke in the bar said that they were shutting the food soon so we got down there and was a little disappointed that the staple items like , Steaks , Steak Pies, Cottage pies etc were not available. However we had a meal and thought we would wander into the bar. Was very quiet at this point.20:30 ish
Well - this is where the fun started Helen & Emma turned up and got the pub absolutely rocking with the Karaoke machine so much so me and my mate actually sung not only once but twice!!! We eventually made it back to our beds - had the sleep of kings as it was so quiet a breakfast the next morning and then off....

So to sum up
Bad points
Need to get the food thing sorted
Can you move it a little closer to cadwell park(???)

The good points
Absolutely Fabulous hosts, Made to feel most welcome by Helen & Emma
Fabulous atmosphere
Nice bar nice place

Would i go back again yes - would i drop in if passing yes, did I have a great time yes.

Stayed in the caravan with Hot tub, 👍

Well we arrived to find a caravan very dated seen it best days , shower head held on with a screw, taps on sink loose and dripping old leather seating not the best, inside the van wall paper ripped off in most bedrooms , most curtains hanging by a thread no mirrows in bedrooms , fridge seen better days iced up old bags of ice and ice pops still in frezzer , microwave again not in good condition , kettle all scaled up and toilet not flushing .

Positives beding clean and comfy bed .
Plenty clean towels , hot tub great.
Over all would I stay here again BIG NO well over priced ...
Caravan needs updating or replacing and decking also had its best days.

Sorry for all negertive feedback but for £120.00 per night expect LOTS better and if you search there are better vans for your money would struggle to pay 50.00 per night for this van .

This was our first touring caravan experience and I have to say staying at The Kings Head caravan park quashed any fears I may have had. From arrival the owners and their team were so friendly and helpful, which really put me at ease. The site is secure with a barrier to prevent just anyone coming onto the site and there’s ample parking. The toilets and showers at The Kings Head are pristine, everything is new and well maintained, with heating and the radio playing in there is a really nice touch. The pub offers take away food to guests using the park, which we tried one evening, the food was fresh, homemade and piping hot when we picked it up and also came on proper plates, but more importantly it was delicious. A big thank you to all at The Kings Head for making our first caravaning experience a huge success, you’ve set the bar high.

Have you confused us with some other place as none of our food is microwaved All our food is cooked fresh to order. If you thought it was so terrible why did you not complain at the time so someone could of had the chance to listen and correct your complaint.

The two women, whom I assume were the owners, seemed to have a less than polished appearance. Their behavior and looks suggested a connection to a council estate. I mentioned to my partner that I found them common and wished she had booked elsewhere. This impression was reinforced upon entering the room—a rather worn-out space resembling the typical ambiance of a pub B&B. The room appeared a bit shabby, with around 20 hairs on the bed. Additionally, they offered only one type of sausage. While I understand it's a budget B&B, I had higher expectations for the quality. They also stunk of cigarette smoke. Would I stay here again? It’s a big fat no from me!!!

Stayed here with my girlfriend last winter. Regret not reading the reviews first. The owners were rude and dismissive. They were short with us and defensive when we complained about the noise. Very noisy and awful nights sleep. The premises are dingy with very shabby and discount feel. I know the prices are low but they are high considering what you get and what you could get for the same pricing elsewhere!

Not a pleasant stay at all. Never again. Would rather stay in a youth hostel than there again.Rude hosts. Hairs in the bed. Grim on the taps in the bathroom. Breakfast lukewarm bacon over cooked, sausages under cooked

Yes, you are correct. The owner of the King's Head was rude, obnoxious & unfair to some of the other compeditors; appeared to have a massive chip on her shoulder, behaved in a very mean, self-centred manner & manipulated her win. Not someone I'd personally like to meet & left me with a lot of empathy for the other competitors, all of whom had really lovely establishments & seemed very warm, genuinely friendly people. When you watch the programme you get to realise that being the winner sometimes has nothing to do with being the best.

Dear Sir, I did complain at the time, maybe your staff are only telling you what you want to hear.As for being rude to your staff it was the other way about, some of your staff were surly and quite ignorant. it is my option and privilege to complain where and whenever I wish,as for social media sites they seem to be only useful to some when it suits.Any other business would take all the info they could get to try and improve their service.

Clearly these guests found it a problem as the smell of smoke put them off their food.
