We stayed 2 nights and got to do most of the local activities (Stones, Marlborough, tea by the river). The site - as a base - was close to perfect.
The bed is a double (covered with plastic so bring a spare duvet to act as a divider) and soft, perfect to collapse into after a long days walking. Speaking of walking, there's a load of cute small paths to explore through fields, with hidden pubs within walking distance.
The site has a large kitchen with multiple sinks, washing machine, tumble dryer (coin-op) and some spare cooking bits if you forget a spatula (like us). There are showers, multiple toilets and sanitiser stations EVERYWHERE!
The pod comes with a fire pit and you are delivered breakfast every morning. It was lovely to cook fresh burgers on an open fire, and a small shop sells stove gas and loads of sundries.
The interior of the pod is basic but cute, kettle, multiple plug sockets, lights all over the place and the heater warms the place up in about 2 mins and stays hot for ages... There's a generous decked area with a waterproof awning with table and chairs so you can chill out in the evening.
£50 deposit returned upon inspection before leaving and helpful staff were on hand to answer any questions.
I personally love wild camping, and that's not changing any time soon; there's nothing like having a coffee, watching the mist dissipate and listening to the birds natter in the morning. But if you want something different and none of the mud, hard work and damp that characterises camping any time outside of pure summer, these guys have got a pod for you.
It was worth it for the moment when you hear the rain start, and you only need to roll down the shutter on the skylight.
Great break away from it all!

We stayed here for 2 nights with our caravan, 2 young children and 2 dogs. We had a hardstanding pitch up on the top field. We were greeted on arrival by the owner, who was lovely and very informative.
When we arrived it had been raining (a lot!) and getting the caravan onto the pitch proved difficult because of the very soggy ground and the poor turning circle we had available to reverse the caravan in. However, we used the motor mover and all was fine. Very little parking for your vehicle when wet. Our 4 wheel drive vehicle was slipping on the grass and mud!
When we visited the mens amenity block was shut down because the site was 'quiet' meaning that there were 2 mens and 2 ladies toilets and a shower for each all in one block. Hand dryer was out of order, 20p to use the shower. There was Wifi onsite but none of out devices could obtain the IP address so we couldn't use it. Very poor TV reception...we could only get BBC1 and BBC2.
Washing up facilities were outside but under cover, water was warm. Chemical disposal was 'out of order' so we had to empty it into an adjacent toilet, then go out to use the hose pipe, then return to the disposal point, etc.....a bit annoying!
Nice and close to StoneHenge, just a few minutes drive away.

Thanks for your feedback, our CDP was out of use during the time you were here was because it was blocked solid with wet wipes etc, in the winter we use one toilet block which is uni sex which is heated. Unfortunately we can not do anything about the weather, and it was a rather damp winter. Not sure why you had problems with the wifi, as it has been upgraded and works really well.

We arrived with slight apprehension but straightaway knew we had picked a great little site. Friendly staff who showed us our pitch in person and gave us info on services. Site is well set out. We were worried as visiting during Covid but we felt safe. Extra facilities were put in and each toilet and shower block was given antibacterial spray to use ourselves. One way system in place to help social distancing. The facilities were clean. Fire fits available to hire very cheaply which made for a lovely relaxing evening in front of the fire.

We had a pop up bar and pop up pizza tent which were used and was excellent. It’s not there everyday so may be worth checking if wanted.

We will use this campsite again.

My 11 year old son & I booked the Festival Pod for a 3 night stay. Not only were we blessed with beautiful sunny weather at the start of the summer hols, we were treated to a wonderful stay! The staff were helpful, polite and extremely hardworking. Everything was covered for a perfect glamping/camping experience - clean toilets & showers, camping kitchen with access to fridge/freezer and a fabulous little shop where you can preorder delicious croissants etc for breakfast the next day. My son camped in our little garden area and I had the pod to myself, electricity was a bonus and we enjoyed cooking on our fire pit. The site felt safe and was very quiet after 10pm each night and the chance to stargaze was a bonus. Fabulous site, sad to leave!

We stayed in the Eden pod during the weekend - the pod was lovely however the campsite itself really let our trip down.

The first disappointment was the ‘breakfast hamper’ I originally had paid extra for. The ‘hamper’ consisted of 1 teabag and a pinch of coffee granules (which we already had in the pod) without any hot water, a croissant, a pinch of cereal and to top it off a 35p carton of apple juice from the corner shop. Additionally, a member of staff came over to our pod at around 2pm to arrogantly tell us that due to us not returning our breakfast tray to reception ‘on time’ (we had no idea of a time limit) we would not be able to get breakfast the following day. Due to the breakfast being so shocking anyway we informed staff that we did not want breakfast the next morning and asked for a refund.

When asking for a refund, I was informed that I had actually ‘paid less than I would have for peak season anyway’ so me paying additional for breakfast works out at how much I would’ve paid anyway without breakfast. I was not told anything of the sort until I was told at this moment. I did not receive a refund.

We were told on arrival that the campsite does not allow any noise after 10pm (presumably we were told this due to being young). On the Saturday night, the owner was having a huge barn party on the campsite and there was loud booming music way past 11:30pm despite there being lots of very young children on the site - rather hypocrytical?

We felt as though we were treated very differently to others due to us being a young couple. A certain member of staff spoke to us in a rather patronising tone, i personally tried to avoid this staff member due to them making me feel hugely uncomfortable.

The shop was overpriced and a minimum of a £5 spend on card.

The toilet blocks were dirty and there were only 4 toilets available. One of the toilets was blocked on one of the days so that makes 3. The showers were in a temporary cabin right at the top of the site, and after having a look inside I didn’t even bother with having a shower.

I was not allowed to park my car anywhere near our pod and I had to leave my car in the middle of the camping field where several families had pitched their tents. It was very unpractical and felt awful having to drive through families/dogs sitting outside every time I wanted to use my car.

I am very sad to say that I will definitely not be returning - after looking forward to a nice weekend away and driving nearly 5 hours from Manchester it was just a disappointment.

We stayed in the Solstice Retreat for 4 nights, the Yurt itself was lovely however there were a few things I’d wish I’d know before spending £400 at this campsite. The campsite is very small, and family run I assume. Our arrival was far from welcoming. Bearing in mind we’d just spent 4hrs on the road with a toddler, the lady that booked us in, moodily sent us away as we couldn’t provide a £100 cash’s deposit, even though we had just the £406 in full. She wouldn’t even allow myself and my toddler access to the Yurt, while my husband went and got the cash. Not once was she welcoming, how are you, no smile nothing. Quite a few people we overheard book in, hadn’t seen the ring small print asking for a deposit. The social distancing measures are a joke, everybody has to queue for an average of 45mins; as there’s only one toilet in each cubicle open. The men use women’s toilets and women’s use men’s, so hygiene and privacy are non-existent. You’re also relying on somebody flipping a silly little vacant or engaged sign round, I stood for half hour to then discover the previous occupier hadn’t done this! Then there’s the showers.... so the amount we paid wasn’t enough, you get 4 mins of shower at 20p. Again the welcoming woman at the front desk doesn’t tell you this, you’re expected to know. Great fun trying to shower my two year old in this time, to only discover if you put another 20p in for another 4 mins you don’t get hot water. This resulted in me washing mine and my daughters hair under the hot tap in the sink. Then there’s the never ending helicopters you get flying over all night every night, not the campsites fault, but certainly disturbs everybody’s sleep, especially if you have kids. We had a few interactions with the lady at the front desk, who I can only assume by her demeanour is one of the managers/owners; every time incredibly rude and you felt like a huge inconvenience. We really wish we hadn’t spent a penny at this campsite, we certainly won’t be bothering again, and won’t be recommending it to anybody.

Hi Rachel Thank you for your feedback, i am sorry you feel the way you do and had to leave this review, as you would have been aware at the time of booking a Cash security deposit is required upon check in and you would have know this prior to arrival, in the past we have had several families remove items and leave the premises uninhabitable for the incoming guests, we have tried to let go out and pay at a later date which they never do and we have the property in such a mess. Also with the COVID situation as well we have to take this into account. I have gone through CCTV in reception and have not witnessed any one being off with you and explained the situation to you calmly. The showers you refer to are no longer in use and the showers we have brought in are FREE with no time restrictions. so there is plenty of time to shower. and double the amount of showers on site with extra toilets. The helicopters do not fly all night long

This is our 2nd stay at this campsite, we stayed in the Campfire Field, On arrival the welcome was very warm and happy. You are directed to your pitch by Mark one of the wardens. Mark is such a cheerful and great character, he is extremely helpful with any problems you may have, he is always on hand for a wave or a friendly chat during his warden duties around the site, Mark is a credit to this campsite, if there was more people in this world like Mark the world would be a much better place!
The site is level grass, although some do use their ramps (we couldn't figure why tho). We were pitched along one side by the embankment screen and found ourselves best positioned for the sun all day, although opposite under the trees misses the morning sun and can be chilly until the sun fully rises.
Campfire field you can use your own fire pit or hire one from the reception, we love our small fire pit on a chilly evening and into the hours of darkness. The site has 3 portacabin type shower and toilet block which are kept fairly clean throughout the day. There is a chemical toilet emptying point and rubbish bins and recycling bins available.
there are two pubs a short pleasant walk from the footpath that leaves the campsite, both pubs are lovely and we have been welcomed in both.
The site is perfectly situated for visiting the local Salisbury plain areas including Stonehenge.
We only live 30 miles from this site, but it is perfect for us to duck out and escape the mad world and enjoy a relaxing weekend away.

Recently stayed in one of their pods which was ok!

However toilet and shower facilities need sorting out as these were unsatisfactory for a top rated campsite. The temporary showers which were situated in camp field should come with a health warning!!!!

Somebody also pointed out seeing a rat running around the communal kitchen facilities which put me off using.

Worst part of stay was hearing the utterly disgusting yelling vile language for a campsite aimed at families with young children after 10pm which turned out to be the campsite manager!! I feel some customer service training needs to introduced to your staff as this behaviour is going to ruin what could be a lovely place to stay!
Such a shame!

We are just back from staying for 3 nights at this campsite and truly enjoyed our stay! We had a large tent pitch with an electrics hook up at Campfire field. The toilets and showers were clean, even portable toilets were clean and had sanitisers in them. Washing up area was great and had a washing up liquid. We loved that reception had a little box of balls and toys for kids to borrow. The little shop had sweets for kids and daily essentials, like milk and eggs. We didn’t like the taste of the water at Campfire fields tap but water from the tap outside washing up area tasted geat. The atmosphere of the campsite was great and very friendly! 10pm noise rule was perfect to get kids settled and adults could enjoy a nice peaceful time by the fire pits till late. Fire pits were reasonable price to rent and the big bag of logs lasted as all 3 nights. Staff was polite and helpful and we would definitely return.

We had a fabulous couple of days here. The campsite was well laid out and the staff were friendly and welcoming. There was lots of information available on local places to visit. The little shop on site has delicious ice cream and the basics that you need. There are freshly baked croissants in the morning which you can pre-order the evening before. The campers kitchen has laundry facilities, a fridge and a microwave as well as washing up facilities. The showers were clean and felt luxurious after the tent! There is some noise from the nearby road but this wasn’t an issue. The stars are amazing - worth staying up late for. We could see the Milky Way and there are red kites flying around. The children loved the free roaming chickens. Our only disappointment was that we didn’t get to see Sammy the hedgehog who also wanders around the site. We will definitely go here again. We stayed in our own tent but I’m tempted the try one of the pods next time as they looked amazing and are reasonably priced. I was sorry to leave and would have liked to stay for longer. A really well managed site.
