We had a very warm welcome of Pia. Also everybody else was very kind.
Good room, food and show. It’s pool was very clean and not too cold. The musquito nets around the bed is guaranteed for insect free sleep. Shower was warm and cold. Towels and blankets included. Highly recommend.

Everyone at Fig tree is very nice and accommodating. Our room had a comfy bed and a private bathroom with a warm water shower that lasted long enough for two people.
The grounds are lovely with a little shop, big pool, and lots of greenery. Very conveniently located close to Tarangire.

I stayed one night here and I was very happy. The lodge was selected by my safari tour operator and he made a very good choice in my opinion. Ideal to get some good rest after a couple of days on the road and quite close to several national parks.
Everyone, especially the host Susan, was very friendly, everything was clean, fresh towels, hot water and the beds including mosquito nets were comfortable. The pool and little garden is nice to hang out and relax (if you can take the sun). And there is a nice shop for local art and small gifts for home with reasonable prices. I was very happy with my operators choice.
Only tiny downside I could mention is that I heard the muezzin quite loudly. But I sleep with earplugs anyway so it did not wake me during the night.

The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The Director made a point of introducing himself and welcoming us to the Lodge. Two staff in particular (Abdul and Mama Pia) went above and beyond to welcome us and went out of their way to seek us out and ask if we needed anything and how we were doing.
I personally witnessed Mama Pia carry on her back a guest who had trouble walking from the Safari Jeep to the guest's room at the end of a day's game drive. Now that is some serious service! (This was not a small person- I'm a 6 foot athletic man and I'm not sure I could have carried this guest).
Abdul was always nearby to help with any requests and a delight to engage with and learn about the local culture.
Local entertainers were brought in one evening of our two night stay to perform traditional music and dancing.

Very nice affordable place with clean rooms and a nice swimming pool. The manager was very welcoming and helpful; he even helped us buy some personal stuff that we needed.

We stayed here last night - as a one night stopover in between Ngorogoro and Tarangere. Very disappointing and I would not recommend. The rooms are dirty as are the mosquito nets, there was only one blanket provided for two separate beds, there was no locking door in the first room we were put in, then the second room had a locking door but leaking pipes in the bathroom, water running into power source and no hot tap or hot water in the shower.

I stayed at the Fig Tree lodge for one night of my safari. After two nights of camping, it was lovely to enjoy the pool and to take a hot shower! The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very nice! Abdul told me a lot about the city and showed me where to go for a few beers and to see some of the local nightlife. I even had a chance to witness a local football game at a nearby field and people there were very welcoming!

We had a great time staying at the fig tree lodge. The rooms were nice and clean and hot water worked perfectly. We especially want to thank abdhul who not only showed us around the lodge and invited us and showed us around the village. He also does tours of the village. If we had arrived earlier, we would have definitely done that, so make sure to ask for Abdhul. He can show you the market and he took us to an art gallery in town. Really nice to see some culture and meet local people during your safari trip!
