Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely B&B not far from Belfast and is a short distance to Antrim Castle Gardens and Shane's castle. Wonderful and confortable accomodations. The owner Gale is absolutely lovely and she makes a wonderful Irish breakfast.

We booked for 4 nights and loved every minute!
Beautiful location and wonderful country house with lots of character.
Gail was so lovely , we felt very welcome and at home!
A really relaxed atmosphere too which contributed to our wonderful holiday
Our room was huge with an en suite bathroom, and tea & coffee making facilities with lovely chocolate biscuits as well!
Gail would hear us return in an evening and would put a fresh jug of milk on the sideboard outside our room , lovely little touch .
Breakfast was fabulous, Gail was always accommodating to our needs and very attentive, loved hearing all the tales she had to tell!
Beautiful gardens surround the Glendona and Gail took us to see the 3 horses in the stables .
We loved the family dogs too! Biscuit was our favourite though , he was just gorgeous!
It was an absolute treat staying here and we will be back to stay at this fabulous B& B ..
If Gail will have us back after Phil's little prank he played on her!!
Thank you so much , our trip has been the best !

Booked it last minute and very glad I did, Gail was an excellent host catering to our every need. Homely feel with animals (dogs horses) with great gardens for the kids to play on. Not much to do where its located but ideal if you have a car and very close to the airport. Great if you like old houses and antiques but it is on a working farm so do expect the smells of the country but definitely great value for money and a very enjoyable stay would certainly come back

Awful experience at this bed and breakfast, how on earth they are still in business is a mystery to me.
I stayed there with my family for one night and it was our worst ever experience in a hotel/b+b (-and I've stayed in NYC with cockroaches!).
Staff were unavailable and not friendly at all - when we arrived, there was no one to greet us, we had to go into the property and search for the owner. Owner made us feel like we were an imposition. In the morning, we were left feeling embarrassed having to ask for breakfast (and this was after trying for ages to find her).
The house smells strongly of dogs and is very musty. We saw the dog in the kitchen in the morning while the owner cooked. House itself it extremely cluttered and run down, it was really disgusting!
The breakfast room was dirty and there were lots of flies in there buzzing around while you tried to eat.
Only positive was the bedroom itself was clean, however, the wall paper was peeling off the walls, ceiling bulges from leaks, the toilet seat had broken and wasn't fixed on to the toilet, the shower was a shower head plugged in the taps and the shower curtain barely hung up.
House has a very bad vibe about it and we joked that it should appear on 'Most Haunted'
House is in the middle of nowhere and definitely not worth the trek out to the sticks for.
Run down, dirty hotel and unobtainable, unfriendly owner
Avoid at all costs!

Had fabulous week in the self catering bungalow Gail & family are lovely leaving us tea, coffee, scones, butter, jam, biscuits, milk, fruit, flowers and washing products both for washing machine and dishwasher - a lovely thought to make our holiday as comfortable as possible and a lovely welcome after our ferry journey. Nothing was any trouble. We are so delighted to find this little gem as we have so many family around the area so this was ideal for this visit and we will definitely book for our visits in the future. Thank you Gail your hospitality was very much appreciated.

We ( myself and partner) have stayed here for 3 months due to partners work. It was also very important to us that it was pet friendly as we travel with our dog. Gail has made us very welcome throughout our stay and is always friendly and helpful.
We had the large bungalow (we required self catering facilities) with 4 bedrooms, 3 en suite and family bathroom, excellent shower! The kitchen is huge, lots of storage, with plenty of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, full size hob and oven also a microwave, full size dishwasher and large American style fridge freezer and ice maker. Utility room has washing machine and tumble drier. Kitchen table large enough for a party!
There are 2 large lounges with large free view TV's and comfortable reclining couches.
Bedrooms have ample clothes storage facilities, with comfortable beds.
Gail was also kind enough to leave us milk, fruit, biscuits, dishwasher tablets, cleaning materials and clothes washing tablets.
I would highly recommend!

A traditional country retreat hidden away from the noise of the modern world. It was the perfect escape for my boyfriend and I. Gail, the owner, was extremely helpful with tourist advice, a generous breakfast even my better half couldn't finish! We felt at home at the Glendona and were sad to drive away. There's even wild bunnies in the immaculately kept grounds. It's hospitality the way it should be. Warm welcome. a relaxed atmosphere and comfy beds!

Location near to Belfast international airport which is handy. We didn't have sat nav so found it hard to find. Big old house Wuth Nice grounds including children's play area. Could do with some updating and investment. Some nice touches like kit kats and milk left in room. Nice big breakfast and comfortable bed. Owner Gail is friendly. Definitely not a 4 or 5 star but grand for a 1 night stop off.

Stayed here for 5 nights with my wife and daughter middle of May 2013. The room was very spacious and the owners - Gale and June were always very welcoming and made the most amazing breakfast every morning. The Hotel is also well placed not too far from Belfast Airport and close enough to all the major tourist spots in N. Ireland. Would definitely recommend this wonderful place for a great relaxing stay in Ireland.
