A lifelong dream come true! My husband and I stayed here a week and a half ago for a couple nights. As soon as we arrived we knew we would regret not booking our stay for longer. It is impossible to truly capture just how incredible this place is in photos. Since I was a little girl I have always wanted to learn about what true horsemanship entailed, and here I got to experience a glimpse of it. We wanted to spend as much time with the horses as possible and João & Liesje made sure we did: we got to experience feeding the horses at night and in the mornings and releasing/stacking them, brushing them, cleaning their hooves, and saddling, before riding them: in other words, earning the horses trust before riding them (João took the time to make sure we could ride them appropriately and adjust our prior habits from western riding, which we truly appreciated and will take with us going forward). We learned and experienced so much here, and we are so sad we didn’t stay longer. We also had arranged to get massages on site prior to arrival and it was great! Everything about our stay was amazing. Liesje and João have built a life and safe-haven for the animals in their care that is the stuff of dreams if you are an animal and nature lover (with a LOT of work), and our cottage was everything we could have hoped and super comfortable. We absolutely hope to return someday!

The accommodation (Stone) is original, welcoming, extremely clean, harmonious and very comfortable, full of light, with views of the pool, valley and meadow. The shades of green are intoxicating and seem to be looked after by fairies (maybe they really are). The bucolic environment brings us serenity and connection to our essence. We had a great afternoon out horse riding. We were brought through the hills and down to a small waterfall for a swim followed by a picnic. Really nice way to spend half a day. I had no experience with horse riding so they looked after us well. If we were back in the area again I would definitely consider doing this again

Great relaxing environment, original houses, lovely swimming pool, lovely owners! Everything is in perfect order and clean, cooking utensils and spices are available. Only toaster would improve it! Beautiful views, shady sunbeds and barbecues everywhere! Great experience, even with 91 and 88 year old parents!

An excellent horse ride, in an environment of calm, tranquility and good spirits, surrounded by nature. I was very well received, I learned how to prepare a horse and enjoyed a ride with unique landscapes. An experience to repeat without a doubt!

Perfect holiday destination! You will be catapulted into peace and nature! We feel at home here every time. A great place with beautiful people and animals. You can choose to enjoy the peace and quiet in your own spot or participate by helping the horses and sitting at the bar in the evening. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience, clean and tidy houses, very sweet animals. The view is gorgeous too. There are cute souvenirs/gifts available. A trip with the horses is just wow. The hosts are nice and funny, and there are a lot of good restaurants and bakeries nearby. Portugal by horse is one of the only stays I really really wanted to return to.

Wonderful place in nature with a fantastic swimming pool, very friendly people and very sweet animals, fantastic to wake up with the horses. Everything breathes nature and ecology. Horses are central and you can help if you want.
