The Dolaucothi Arms is a quiet rural pub/hotel near to a large tract of National Trust land. Warm and welcoming room with no deliberately no televison (though could be supplied if you can't live without). Food freshly cooked using local produce as far as possible. Breakfast substantial and enough to start the day before a long local walk.

We went for two nights whilst visiting our son in Lampeter. The food was delicious - freshly cooked and full of flavour. The atmosphere is very informal. The room was cosy and the bed very comfortable. There were lots of thoughtful touches including fresh milk in the bedroom.

This is a simple inn taken over fairly recently by a young couple who have made a 4 bedroom hotel out of it with a dining room and a pub in the building as well. They have kept it very simple, no fancy furnishings here, but the bedroom was large, clean, simply furnished but very welcoming. The en-suite shower and...

This was an interesting Inn. Because of the good review we booked a room. The room in the photo is not what our room looked like. It was rather shabby. The bed was not nice. The staff were the most pleasant people I have ever encountered in a hotel. The fresh milk in the room for tea was a nice...

We stayed one night here when walking around the Dolaucothi estate. Room one was lovely if a little noisy, conversations carried up the stairs from the bar, we were here mid week in the winter so it quieted down quite early, I imagine it could be disturbing on the weekends. We eat our evening meal here and all 3 courses...

Lovely couple running the place. Its National Trust owned and a lovely old building. Rooms are basic (no TV) but if you want somewhere away from the bussle this is perfect. The welcome here is very warm. Its the sort of place you would go if you like walks in the country. Nothing for miles around.

My wife booked us an overnight stay for my birthday as we usually just visit for dinner. Our room had everything we needed, including proper coffee. The kingsize bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The potted duck starter we both had, my ox cheek in a red wine sauce with leek mash, shallots and greens, my wife's rib...

Stayed here initially to visit daughter at the university in Lampeter in October. Had such s lovely stay rebooked for December. The room we stayed in was quaint and had everything you would need for a stay. The room was lovely and warm and has coffee/tea making facilities. The ensuite was clean and had lovely hand wash and shower toiletries....
