Both myself and my partner couldn't fault anything, It was booked as a surprise for me and thats certainly what I got. Everything was perfect. It was so secluded and quite, the only sounds you could hear were the birds tweeting and the ducks quacking. The lodge its self was spotless, everything was neat and in excellent condition. Everything you...

Dear Hanrw9 Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay in Dunnock lodge. The Tranquil Otter is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Over recent years the work that we've been doing in the woods and the lake have contributed to the rise the number of species of bird on wild fowl, hence the tweeting and quacking....

We stayed at the tranquil otter from 23rd April for 4 nights for our honeymoon. It was the most perfect place to relax and unwind after a year of stressful wedding planning. We didn't really venture our far as just enjoying the hot tub, patio overlooking the lake and bbq facility was ideal for us. The Cabin was spotless and...

I booked a cabin for 2 for a special occasion, I was impressed by the package put together on the website and what was on offer for the price. I was also happy with the amount of pre info sent after the booking. On the day of check in I was greeted by a staff member who had already rang...

Dear Steve, Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We’re happy that you had a good stay. Regarding your comment about the teabags, each lodge is usually stocked with enough tea and coffee to make a few cups of tea and coffee, but not for the duration of the stay. We work on the basis that if...

Wonderful, relaxing - our idea of heaven :-) We have visited the Tranquil Otter, over 12 years, 21 times! We just love it here - it's our sanctuary, and we still find something new to do every time. Tazeem, Gillian and the team are so welcoming and always go the extra mile. A fantastic dog-friendly place - our retired greyhound,...

We stayed here for a long weekend and loved it. The lodge was very cosy (chiff chaff) and the offer of unlimited logs (£10) for the fire was great. The hot tub is lovely and great to relax in and here the birds singing around you. The star gazing from here was impressive too. The owners dog was adorable (Leah)...

Weekend in Alder lodge. Beautiful lodge, larger than appears in photos. Spotless and appears brand new. Stunning views from room. Need an hour or so with fire on to fully heat when cold but was toasty from then on if you keep the fire going. Netflix wasn't working on our visit but didn't bother us as busy on hot tub...

Thank you for your review. We apologise for the Netflix hiccup, being in such a rural setting our technology is occasionally at the mercy of the elements. We hope to see you again in the future.
