Penhein is a family-run farm and glampsite set in 400 acres of rural south Wales. Home to six Persian alachigh tents, a luxurious shower block, communal tent and a shared kitchen, Penhein Glamping is tucked away in a coppiced wood, surrounded by wildflower meadows and sweeping views of the Monmouthshire hills. The tents at Penhein - huge and round with a high, domed ceiling, custom-built locally for glamping - are beautifully decorated and kitted out with everything you need for a luxurious camping experience. Comfy beds sleeping up to five adults and draped in colourful blankets are banked by rustic bedside tables made from wooden pallets. A wood-burning stove keeps the tent cosy and warm and doubles up as a hotplate for cooking food prepared in the adjacent kitchen area or on the fire pit outside each tent. There’s running water, cupboards ready-stocked with kitchen essentials, and a table and chairs for eating dinner by candlelight under canvas. Each tent has a private en suite flushing loo. The campsite can be booked exclusively, and there’s plenty to keep big groups entertained onsite and further afield. Guests can escape to nature straight from the glampsite, with miles of nature trails to explore, lots of local attractions to discover, and plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy. After a day of adventuring and a pint in a nearby pub, guests return home to Penhein to relax in the roll-top bath or freshen up with a hot shower, get the barbecue going on the fire pit, play cards and board games in the communal tent, before cosying in at night surrounded by the sounds of nature.

We hired the whole Penhein site for a 40th birthday party and had an amazing time (despite some typically damp Welsh weather!). Penhein is the best glampsite we have ever stayed in, they seem to have thought of everything. The beds are fantastic, and each tent was perfectly

Dear Heidi and Chris, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was lovely to meet you all and thank for choosing Penhein as the location to celebrate your 40th birthday. Sadly it was the time that the weather decided to break but you all made the most of it and it was a pleasure to help you over the weekend. We'll try to ensure that the sun is shining when you return as we would love to welcome you back! We are sorry however about "Parson's Nose" and we will ensure that they are aware of their level of service. Thank you once again for taking the time to write a review for us, we really appreciate it and we hope to welcome you all back to Penhein in the near future. Enjoy the rest of the summer! Warmest regards, James and the team at Penhein

Are pets allowed
Hi Gary, thank you for your enquiry. I'm sorry but we don't allow pets as we are a working farm and some dogs aren't used to stock in close proximity. There are 2 excellent kennels very local to us that we can put you in touch with if that is of interest. All the best Helen
