What a wonderful campsite! Beautifully kept grounds, excellent sized pitches, the friendliest people! The shop on site is ideal, particularly when we thought we'd forgotten our tent pegs (we hadn't my husband just couldn't see them for the looking 😂). Washing up facilities are great then even provide drying racks! The facilities are spotless and modern. Cleaners are in there 3 times a day. They also include sinks in cubicles, the fresh flowers were a lovely touch. There are two family/disabled bathrooms with toilet and a temperature controlled shower. Plus a baby bath and plenty of room. It was lovely quiet thanks to there being no onsite bar and rules about music after 10pm. Walking distance is the canal and the Royal Oak which does amazing food! Plus has a pub garden right on the canal. Can't wait to go back next year. …
What can you say that's not been said Great campsite been coming here for years. Nice to see the shop open. Nice to see they have a warden on sit. As always spotless clean. Showers busy as site quite full. Nice to see the flower beds coming into flower. See you all again soon. Thanks. Graham/Tracey
Stayed in our motorhome in the Orchard for 3 nights along with friends in another motorhome. Really friendly (thank you Gerwin and sons), lovely setting, peaceful and bus stop adjacent. Punctual and cheap buses. 1.5 hour walk into Brecon, shorter walk along the canal to small tearoom the other direction. Local pub......3 minute walk.... excellent beer, food and welcome.
Stayed two nights last week. Very quiet as you would probably expect mid week with the dedicated camping field to ourselves. Great location for the Brecon Beacons, excellent facilities and very clean. The site is bordered by a B road but didn’t notice it during the night. Would definitely go back.
Stayed four nights at this gorgeous site with our little caravan. Fascinating to think we were camping in the grounds of this once magnificent castle grounds!! The site, facilities, friendliness, location views are all brilliant especially if you're looking for an active break. We spent two days cycling and another walking and even managed a quick nine holes of golf at the course in Brecon!! The café and village shop in Talybont also visited and of course the pub in Pencelli!. Many thanks to those who are involved in creating such a lovely campsite ...and less than two hours from home ... hopefully we will be back to enjoy again! No need to post any images you need to come and see for yourselves!! ☺️
