We travel a lot internationally but our 2 week stay in one of the Laughing Whale Suites at Kasiiya has exceeded all our expectations and what we have experienced in other high end hotels. The location is remote and quiet, the surrounding nature is unspoiled and the views over the pacific ocean are breathtaking. What really sets Kasiiya apart is the warm and very personal service! The food was yummy and varied. With its two beaches the resort never feels crowded and has a very relaxed vibe. We often had the beach to all ourselves. There is nothing negative to add, we loved everything about Kassiya and have already booked our next stay in one year. Thanks to all the team members at Kasiiya for making our stay so memorable and special!
We spent 3 nights at Kasiiya and enjoyed a wonderful holiday within a great location, super friendly staff and great food! The rooms are awesome with a great view! We enjoyed the ocean by snorkeling, swimming and paddle boarding. We can definitely recommend the place!
We are a family of 4 (kids aged 11,13) and we were lucky to find a reservation to spend 2 nights at Kasiiya. This is eco-chic at its best. Our tent was ample with an amazing bathroom with both an indoor and outdoor shower. We also had easy access to the beach. The staff is very welcoming and kind ensuring that you have the best experience. In the 2 days that we were there we had the opportunity to kayak, snorkel, hike and spend an afternoon on their private beach. The food was superb and dinner on the top of the mountain is magical with a beautiful sunset view! We can wait to have the privilege to go back. Thank you Kassiya for such a memorable and special experience.
Kasiiya is everything they say it is. I feel so lucky to have had the privilege of staying at Kasiiya for a week. We wanted small and uncrowded: Kasiiya has only 5 tent-suites on the beach and two more on top of the bluff. There is no other hotel in sight. We wanted delicious food with superb service: multi-course breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included, as are non-alcoholic drinks. You are never rushed, never left hungry, and fed with the freshest ingredients. Meal service was the best I've had in Costa Rica. We wanted to experience the Costa Rican natural environment: Kasiiya employs expert guides in this area who are available to teach, inform, answer questions, and discuss - all with great enjoyment. Our proximity to animals in their natural and rather undisturbed environment was unequaled in all our tropical travels. And we never left the property - this was all right at Kasiiya. Kasiiya is super focused on their environmental impact - be sure to read up on this on their website. We wanted fun experiences right on-property: We snorkeled, paddle-boarded, kayaked, swam, and hiked - all included in our stay. I highly recommend inviting the guides along on the activities. While we didn't need any instruction on how to do any of them, we were delighted to find that their enthusiastic information and amiable personalities made it even more fun. And I'll be honest...we wanted a luxurious vacation: The tented suites are incredible. The beautiful wood furniture and accents, the perfect lighting (I'm fussy about lighting), gorgeous linens, excellent in-room amenities, laundry service (included!!), twice per day housekeeping, and impeccable overall service from friendly and kind people at all times. And I haven't even mention the views from the bluff. You will be in heaven. I hope I get the chance to return. I can still taste the fresh passionfruit juice...…
My wife and I recently returned from a week at Kasiiya and it was amazingly perfect from start to finish. Beautiful secluded accommodations each with private beach access- though it’s not really necessary since there are only 7 rooms on the entire property! It truly feels like you are on a private island. Delicious 3 course meals with fresh and largely local ingredients with impeccable service. Gorgeous secluded peninsula with 2 beaches. Very healthy and uncrowned reef for snorkeling. Super friendly, knowledgeable staff for all needs... Sebastian knows all things ocean related and is an excellent reef and ocean guide. Diego knows all thing flora/fauna on land. All details are minded by the exceptional staff. At the end of the day cocktails and dinner on the elevated bluff of the peninsula with an all time view. Thanks to the care they have taken to integrate with the ecology, all types of animals local to the area can be observed. We have travelled the world including 5 prior trips to Costa Rica and this may be our favorite. I would recommend it to anyone. Worth every penny. …
