Back of Beyond is a tranquil touring, camping and glamping park exclusively for adults (over 18). Set in 30 acres of Dorset countryside, it's a spacious park with its own wildlife lakes, woodland and heathland. Dogs are welcome too! All the marked pitches and some of the glamping accommodation is dog friendly. Dogs can run off the lead in our extensive woodland area. There's plenty to see and do in the local area. Back of Beyond is within easy reach of the beautiful New Forest and stunning Hampshire and Dorset coastline. You'll find seaside towns, historic cities, major attractions and scenic countryside all within a few miles. Pitches include large hardstanding pitches for touring caravans and motorhomes, some of which are fully serviced (electric hook-up, water supply and grey water drainage). There's a range of grass pitches for tents and campervans, including wild camping in a conservation area. Glamping options include a yurt, cute pods and wooden lodges, some of which are dog friendly. You can pick up essential items, local produce and gifts from the onsite shop, where you can also enjoy a coffee and collect pre-ordered freshly baked breakfast pastries in the morning. You can order afternoon teas and charcuterie platters to be delivered to the site as well. On most evenings, you'll find guests sampling locally made beers, wines and sprits at the outdoor pop-up bar, Monty's. Many guests also make the most of the visiting mobile takeaways serving Fish & Chips, wood-fired pizza, gourmet burgers and more. Fire pits are allowed and available for hire. What better way to relax after a busy day's sightseeing than sitting by our own outdoor fire while gazing up at the stars?

Back of Beyond Touring Camping & Glamping Park is celebrated for its exceptional service and pristine cleanliness, with guests frequently commending the spotless facilities and welcoming staff. The park's amenities, including diverse dining options and pet-friendly areas, are well-maintained, though some visitors suggest the WiFi could improve. Monty's Bar adds to the park's vibrant atmosphere with live music and a sociable vibe. While rooms are in high demand for their cleanliness, they tend to be bustling. The reasonable drink prices and good food value at the bar are acknowledged, despite occasional service hiccups.

What a brilliant, adult only, dog (very) friendly, quiet and relaxed site.

The arrival at the gates was clear, concise and COVID-19 compliant. Detailed instructions for arrival sent by the site by text/email well in advance.
Waved through by a member of the team, EVERY arrival is walked to their allocated pitch, the setting up positioning fully explained with the essential services being pointed out and explained in full.
All delivered cheerfully and clearly.

The pitches are large, mainly level. The site boundary is lightly wooded with the exception being the area abutting the brilliant 18 acres of woodland and pitch and put, on which dogs are allowed to run off-lead. Owners are asked to clean up behind their pups, and it appears “most” do!

The shower and toilet facilities spotless. The recycle and general waste bin areas kept clear of rubbish and discreetly screened behind wood surround.

We didn’t need to gives the dogs a shower, but the provision of a doggie shower is an amenity many other sites should take notice of. Brilliant inclusion for us dog owners!

The pop up bar, outstanding additional amenity. Situated alongside the on site shop, it serves locally produced beverages at very reasonable prices for on-site quality offerings. It is also a dog friendly area where owners and furry friends can meet whilst waiting for their food order to be cooked by any of the 3 food vendors visiting site on specific evenings.

The shop is stocked with the essentials all of which are good quality and a good selection of tasty “non essential” but very tempting goods!

Bread and breakfast pastries can be ordered at the shop for the following day, another nice touch.

To summarise.
Quality site.
Quality staff.
Quality pitches.
Quality produce.

Did I mention this is a quality venue to pitch up and enjoy everything about it?

We don’t need to write this but....... we will definitely be back!

We have just returned from camping on this beautiful park . Our pitch was a fantastic size ( but they all are to be fair) and the facilities are spotless, and regularly cleaned, and liquid hand wash and hand sanitizer is readily available in the toilet /shower block.
The staff are very helpful and friendly ( especially Kathleen) and were very quick to deal with noisy campers that obviously forgot this was a tranquil park.
The little shop onsite has your basics and has doggy ice cream for your 4 legged family.
There are visiting food vans (pizza and fish &chips) various nights of the week and has a pop up bar.
The dog walking field is like stepping into the new forest , just a shame some dog owners dont pick up after there pets even when it’s right next to the dog waste bin.
For us this is the perfect place for some well needed R&R when we are keyworkers that have worked throughout this pandemic, and we really appreciate the work the staff have put in during their closed months of Covid .
See you next year

Adult only site with very helpful and friendly staff. Situated in a peaceful location with easy accesses into the site via a quiet lane with a security entry barrier and gate into the site.

The site is well laid out and maintained but its not manicured, they keep a natural look. Good sized level pitches, plenty of hard-stands and acres of woodland areas walk around and a small lake.

There’s a small shop with most of your everyday needs along with a good selection of wines and beers, a very friendly covered outside bar with seating. Another plus is the visiting food vans which call into the site offering fish and chips, BBQ or Pizza if you don’t fancy cooking.

The toilet/shower and pot wash facilities are a little tired but the team regularly clean them during the day, we understand new facilities will be added in the near future.

We found the whole experience so relaxing we extend our stay, will defiantly be visiting again.

The site matches the description that the company shows on it's website but it's a little more roughh around the edges in the pitch areas. It's described as peaceful but with the pitches full and quite crowded together is does not feel relaxing. The wild life areas are really nice. I hoped to do fishing as described as available. As we arrived the staff indicated that this was not a good idea and pointed us to an off-site location. The river fishing on site was not practical possibly only one small swim. The river is not as wide as my garden pond. This site is obviously very popular
Our stay was spoiled by noisey neighbours who kept us awake until 3 am on all 3 nights of our stay. we originally were booked in for 5 nights but left after only 3 as we were exhausted by then . I would say that we have been in many other sites that are tidier, quieter, more relaxing and that have fishing facilities equal to those advertised on their website. The site is situated near the busy A31 and traffic can be heard throughout the night. We will not be returning but can understand why others would.

Dear Mr Attewll. I am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. We are a very green park so we are not manicured as we are trying to be much more wildlife friendly. This is why we won this year Best Green Campsite in the country by Practical caravan magazine. Coming in the summer the park is full. That is why you maybe thinking it was crowded but we have plenty of room and large pitches for all. I am not sure what you mean by advertising fishing. We do not have fishing lakes or fishing river on the park. We do not advertise fishing lakes. They are wildlife lakes and advertised as such. However if you wish to fish them you may but we do not promote it. People do however have catches each week. With regard to your neighbours. We were not informed during your stay you were having any issues, otherwise we would have dealt with it. We always ask any issues to be reported then we have the opportunity to fix it. We could talk to your neighbours or even moved your pitch. We have no record that you had any problems whilst here. If you are looking for a manicured park with rockeries, absolute quiet all day and fishing onsite then I agree this park is not for you. For the same time you stayed we have received 12 top scoring reviews on this and other review sites. We understand that the park is not for everyone and your requirements maybe something we cant meet. We hope you find more appropriate parks in the future.

We had a great time at this beautifully looked after and clean campsite, with Lakes, dog walking, a shop with locally produced products, a pop-up bar and evening food trucks in a great location near Ringwood, Bournemouth and the New Forest.

The staff were welcoming, helpful, friendly and the checking process was brilliant.

Due to being adults only, it was lovely, peaceful.

Will be back again soon.

From the moment we booked we were kept well informed and sent COVID information.
On arrival everything worked, we were greeted by Mick who showed us our pitch, gave us all required info and was very welcoming and helpful.
We had a grass all weather pitch with electric, great size and each pitch was separated out by hedges, loved this as meant no encroaching onto other pitches.
Pet friendly with designated walks.
Very clean and tidy and the wardens were always busy cleaning and tidying.
Shop was well stocked and the food vendors that came onto site were varied and very good.
We had a great stay and felt totally relaxed. Very friendly site. Great adults only site, would definitely recommend and visit again.

We have visited this site with our Eriba caravan on several occasions. The owners Martin and Victoria have put in a huge amount of effort to further upgrade their already excellent facilities snd services. All pitches are ample with hard standing and grass. The whole site snd facilities are spotlessly clean - especially important at this pandemic time. Monty’s Pop-up Bar is a great relaxing place with a wide selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Food vans visit four times a week providing good quality food - including sausage and bacon baps on Sunday mornings! We had a gem of a stay and are already booked for another stay!

Had two weeks at BoB in touring caravan and had a great time. The staff kept everything clean and we had no concerns regarding communal areas, still taking personal precautions for our own peace of mind. Site is quiet, tidy and well maintained. Visiting food vendors are a bonus for those not wishing to go out to eat, as is the pop up bar.

Thank you Andy. We are trying to have the appropriate precautions in pace for the safety of guests and our staff alike. With the anti viral cleaning in place for the shower blocks, the hand sanitiser and signage as well as the new contactless check in and check out systems the mix seems correct. We have had lots of positive feedback that customers are feeling safe and secure with us at this difficult time. I am pleased you had such a lovely stay.

This camping trip was perfect! The site was peaceful and completely dog friendly. They even have a doggy shower. Lovely walks and the food was really tasty. I was worried about camping in the middle of a pandemic but the shower/toilets were cleaned multiple times a day and the pitches were really well spaced out so distancing wasn't an issue. Can't wait to go back next year!

Have just returned from 4 days at BoB, the last time we stayed here was in a tent. What a difference 15 yrs make. The site is very up-to-date with great facilities, you can see these guys have been busy during lock down getting the place ready for opening. A nice little outside bar, a nice touch. Food vans visit about 5 times a week. One request can you do anything about the lakes, would be a nice little spot for some fishing. Cannot wait to return.

Many thanks for your lovely review. We are so pleased that you noticed all our lockdown efforts. With regards to the lake we are battling with nature and local otters and the costs involved with otter proofing are just too high so we are embracing them as natural wildlife lakes. There are some lovely local fishing lakes so next time you are down we can maybe try one out. We look forwards to seeing you again.

Hi. You can hire fire pits at reception and the eco briquettes you can burn. You can use them at all glamping. The Shepherds huts and Yurt also have a wood burner inside. Many thanks

Many hard standing pitches and electric hook ups. Lots of water points and short distance to grey water disposal but I did not see any direct clean or grey water connections on the pitches the field I was in.
