Stayed for 3 nights in Tomatin with my family including 2 month old and 2 year old. Chalet was beautiful, lots of space for our 2 year old to play indoor and out. Hot tub was fabulous. Plenty to see and do round about also. Would highly recommend.
We stayed at one of the log cabins from 6th July through to 13th. Oftentimes places have been extremely creative with their photo's and when you arrive you are left disappointed. This is so not the case here. If anything it is the other way around. The cabins are awesome. There are three cabins set in a row. But the thing is each is set within its own very generous space with its own garden which itself is probably bigger than a tennis court at least. Each is divided from the next by a very clever use of fencing and shrubbery/ conifers/ trees. Such that you cannot really see the fence. The effect being that you really feel yours is the only property there in the middle of the most tranquil countryside with a view off into the distance. Seriously the noise of utter and complete silence as you lounge in the hot tub on an evening is overwhelming. At the end of the gardens ran a wild meadow area where we saw rabbits, frogs and a hedgehog popped his head out. Each cabin has its own private use hot tub and sauna. Both to a very good quality. Our hot tub was on a large decked area with a picnic table and some recliners. We loved the hot tub and went into it every day without fail. We enjoyed the sauna a couple of times during our week. There is a plentiful supply of logs etc for repeated use of the sauna. None of that, having to buy more logs every minute to use it again. Plenty available throughout your stay. The cabin itself. Well........... Awesome. The quality of the furnishings is the best we have ever stayed in. From the bed, wardrobe, dressing table, light fittings..... all top notch. The en suites OMG. We had a fight with our 16 year old daughter as to who had which room based upon the quality of the two en suites. One had the most attractive stand alone bath the other a wet room shower. The TV system was a very good quality, high def, decent size screen with access to all the usual channels not to mention a range of apps including Netflix and Amazon video. Wifi available and worked well. You are greeted inside the cabin by fresh flowers, biscuits, fruit, two disposable BBQ's, and a lovely greetings card. Tea, coffee milk etc is there awaiting your arrival. Lastly but by no means least the hosts, Richard, Debra and Joe. When we arrived Debra was there to welcome us and was doing some finishing gardening touches. Richard soon joined her. Both are very welcoming and before you know it you are chatting away. They helped us in with our cases. There was an offer of a lift to the local pub on an evening if we needed it. Whilst we did not take up the offer I have no doubts that the offer was a genuine one. They maintained the hot tub each day and any issues are fixed the same day. Not that there were many. The only one being caused by my daughters make up in the hot tub. It was our first trip to the area and we really enjoyed it. Plenty to go out do and see. Our favourite day was a trip to Holy Island which we kind of stumbled across. We loved the week and I am certain as certain can be that we will be booking to go back at some time. Richard and Debra thank you very much and will see you again in hopefully not too long a time.…
Just returned from 5 nights, what a place. Exceptional quality lodges in a peaceful location. Great welcome pack with flowers and a card is a nice touch. Owners are very friendly and welcoming and nothing was a problem, even to the extent that Joe offered us a lift to and from the local pub if we fancied eating out or a couple of beers and didn't want the hassle of taxi or someone driving - excellent hospitable service. The lodge was superb with high quality fixtures and fittings and great WiFi internet speed. Lodge was very private with large decking area and great hot tub which was well used. All in a perfect relaxing break which recharged batteries. We will definitely return.
We arrived here on the 3rd of June and stayed until the 10th & it was one of the best, most relaxing, stress free weeks we have all ever had! Upon arrival we were greeted with the lovely Debra & Joe who could not have made us feel anymore welcome with their lovely card, flowers & willingness to help in anyway shape or form if we so required it during our stay, even a lift to the local pub if needed - amazing!!🍺 The cabin we stayed in was the Bunnahabhain which was stunning! Everything was spotless and well presented with everything you could possibly need from every kitchen utensils to a vast choice of movies! The garden space was perfect with the lawn being really well maintained! The decking area was very spacious too, great for BBQ’s - also provided, amazing! - the hot tub was a favourite among us four, after long days of exploring the near by attractions & towns it was the perfect way to wind down - oh the hot tub can still even be enjoyed at lower temperatures as we did on the first night when it was still heating up, couldn’t resist haha! Joe came round every morning to check the chlorine in the hot tub which was great! The beds were on another level, soooo comfy a full week of the best nights sleep! It was also a really nice gesture that Joe sent us all a text thanking us for the way we left the lodge! we wanted to leave the lodge as perfect as they presented us with it! Richard, Debra & Joe really have thought of everything to give it that personal touch and really make you feel a part of what they have created! It really goes a long way! we have already spread the word with family, friends & neighbours who are now considering their own little break away to these stunning lodges! We just want to thank you all again for making the week we had super special and we will most certainly be back!! All the best, Arran, Jessica, Claire & Jordan - 21, Bathgate…
