Really lovely site, we stayed here for 7 nights. Our pitch was with EHU and on a hard standing which was great. The site is peaceful, quiet and well maintained, management was friendly. The toilet and shower block were clean however they could do with a definite refresh. The reason why I have given this site a 4/5 was because of the showers. I understand the need for a ‘push button’ system in the shower, but for the water to last for 5 seconds!! Come on guys get this sorted, I’m female with long thick hair, shampooing it was a nightmare!!

Been here 3 times now and every time you remember why you come back, lovely maintained site that is so tranquil, plenty of room to pitch your tent in many lovely locations around the park. Showers and toilets more than acceptable and on site cafe was also very nice. Can't wait to come back.

We booked a 1 night stay at the campsite in August 2022. The campsite was large and had plenty of room between each tent/camper so it didn't feel crowded. We found a quiet spot at the back and it felt like we had the place to ourselves! We parked near a picnic bench which was very useful for us as we didn't have tables and chairs. There were plenty of tables around the site. The staff were very friendly and gave us very clear instructions on where to park and where the factilities were. There is an onsite cafe but we didn't get the chance to visit it. The showers were SO warm, but I must say the flooring and curtains of the showers were a bit icky so I would recommend wearing flipflops in the shower. It would have been good for the shower room to also contain benches or lockers so people can put things away/down whilst showering.

Not entirely sure this is the correct campsite I'm reviewing because we know it as Cannich Woodland Camping, but, anyway... Canning Woodland Camping is a quiet, clean, well-maintained site with electric hook-up and free wifi, which suits us fine. It takes families, tents, tourers, caravans, has some static caravans and two glamping pods, and thankfully no groups, in a great location for walks and attractions including the nearby Plodda Falls. Each pitch has its own picnic table and pitches are widely spaced apart. There is an onsite cafe, the Bog Cotton cafe, a TV room and showers and toilets, which caused some amusing head-scratching and not only to us! Originally there were men's and ladies' toilets with showers in both, then it turned out the men's showers stopped working, so to get round the problem the owners decided to turn the female toilets into showers only and the men's into toilets only, with the advice that the keycoded doors should be locked if either were occupied by either gender. We've used unisex sites in France, so it wasn't a problem, but maybe it's time the male showers are repaired if this causes confusion or angst. Other than that we would definitely stay again.

Lovely well run campsite with a great cafe on site. Friendly welcome by the owner & clear explanation of all the facilities. We visited in August shortly after the showers etc had reopened and the site had a good system in place to keep everyone safe whilst giving access to showers/washing up etc. Food & drinks from the cafe were excellent & again a very friendly welcome. Good walking & biking trails close by. Would definitely recommend.
