Year after year we visit the Isle of Arran and always pop in to the Catacol Bay hotel for a lunch and a drink. Not posh by a long way but has a nice friendly feel. It is dog friendly and affords a wonderful view across the bay (especially sunset). A great stop for walkers, campers and explorers. A good...

We were camping at the other end of the island and the tent got blown down. Phoned round and all hotels were full as it was September weekend. Phoned this place and was greeted by a frendly voice who said come on round and we will sort you out. Large family room and verry apriciated tv room as we were...

That said, dinner and breakfast were both well cooked and well presented, with friendly service, and there was a good cask ale on tap. Prices for food drink and accommodation were all...

What more could you want! This is a roadside pub looking across from the west shore of Arran to the Kintyre peninsula. At first glance the building is unimpressive, but once you are inside you receive a warm welcome and can enjoy good cask beer and decent food. The crab pate and the Meditteranean fish stew are recommended, and if...

Reasonable pub food at good prices. The salad that accompanied the gluten free fish cakes was amazing- salad leaves, potato salad, coleslaw, egg, cucumber. A great variety. My partner said his sweet chilli chicken and veg was over cooked.
