Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have been to this wonderful hotel for the second time and again loved it. It's quiet, the rooms are nicely furnitured, tidy and comfortable. Carmen and Tomy are very kind and helpful and Carmen really knows how to cook - great, local food! I'm looking forward to coming back.

This 17th century chateau is located in a pretty village on the Causse de Gramat but very close to the beautiful but almost unknown Cele Valley. At one time a priory, then a private house, restored from a ruin to be a gendarmerie, then used as the Mairie, until finally the Figeac Conseil Municipal restored it to its former glory. Rooms and public spaces are full of artworks and often exhibitions are held. There is a lovely pool and a spa area where you can indulge in all kinds of relaxing treatments. We were there just for a meal and it was indeed very tasty. Closer to top notch home cooking rather than the French Pro with lots of swirls and twiddles but none the less very enjoyable. I had an excellent carpaccio whilst my wife had quail on foie gras. We both had the magret of duck in spices and honey with baby roasts and veg. This was tender and simply but well presented. For desert my wife had a good crème brulee and I had an indulgent chocolate mousse with nut cake. The mousse was great but the cake perhaps a little stodgy. Good choice of wines available, we chose an excellent Madiran, at reasonable prices. The service was very friendly but my only criticism was it was rather slow. We did have to wait a while between courses but if you are not in a hurry and on holiday that hardly matters. Aperitifs in the garden in front of the twin Pigeonnier Chateau were memorable.

We had a very nice stay at Grezalide! The owners are extremly helpfull and make sure you have a very warm stay! The rooms are very tidy, spacious and clean. We had a nice view on the garden. The hotel is very quiet, a nice restaurant where you can have a nice breakfast. You want it, they make it. All villages you want to visit in the Lot and the Dordogne are easy accessible from this location. We arrived very late in the hotel due to traffic but the owner had waited to receive us. This was well appriciated. I will certainly return to or recommend this hotel!

Beautiful castle located in green and quiet area. We stayed for one night and unfortunately there was no space left for us to have dinner, so be sure to book in advance if you stay here. If not, there is a great restaurant in a nearby village aprox 15 min away by car. Rooms were clean and pretty spacious, the interior with the art theme was personal but not my cup of tea, i guess it can vary a lot from the diffrent rooms. Staff was friendly and it was possible to get a drink in the afternoon in the garden even if the restaurant was not open. This is a good hotel if you want to enjoy a very calm location with a good book, a walk and roadtrips to nearby villages.

If you love rural France, this is a great place to visit. I went for a week with my wife, my two daughters, my grandson, my son and his wife. The owners of the hotel, Bruno and Karine were amazing. They were so welcoming and thoughtful that they made this a real holiday to remember. The food was just exquisite. We opted for half board, which included a set dinner menu. I was a little apprehensive, fearing that my grandson or any other member of our party might not like something on the fixed menu but it was all so delicious and beautifully presented that everyone ate every single dish that was placed in front of them. The rooms were very large, well appointed and comfortable. There is a very large quiet garden, if you want to relax in the sun and a good sized pool. We ate outside every night alongside a lovely lavender hedge. Although the village is very quiet, there is a lot to do in the area. The beautiful old town of Figeac is only 20 minutes away, Rocamadour about 30 minutes and loads of caves, rivers, vineyards etc.

Our friends who own a home nearby made reservations for us for three days. Good thing they did as the place was fully booked while we were there. By village standards they have a good number of rooms. The rooms are relatively spacious with excellent bath facilities. Breakfast is not included but well worth it. It is a buffet sort of breakfast with a good variety but no hot foods. We did not have dinner at the hotel but it looks lovely and we would guess is pretty good. We spent time with our friends so we did not make good use of the amenities. There is a pool and a garden. Parking is set off a ways so as not to be disturbing. One night we returned to a large number of people having drinks on a lovely patio. The walls of the common areas are filled with original paintings that are very lovely and at least some are for sale. Be forewarned - there are no elevators so be prepared to lug your suitcase up some stairs.

We visited with 2 children and we couldn't have had a warmer welcome. The room was modern and decorated with an eastern touch to reflect the owners travels. The kids each had a single bed and we were all in one room but the space was sufficient to ensure it didn't feel cramped. Our hosts couldn't have been more hospitable and were equally pleasant and helpful to French speakers and we "foreigners" too ! Our only issue was the lack of local food - as the restaurant here was closed due to being early in the season. This was an issue as there's nothing in walking distance. But a short trip in the car to fetch pizza and other supplies remedied that and the serenity was well worth an inroom dinner. Breakfast was served tho daily and was superbly done.
