The website gives the idea that the hotel is located at the beach. This is not true. You have to walk five minutes. The hotel offers no possibilities for lunch or dinner. You have to go to the beach. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The outside of the building however is very shabby, which is quite depressing. The breakfast... More

Very friendly staff (especially the lady at the reception), nice small cabins/rooms. Breakfast was OK! The charming cala rossa beach is only 400m away and can be reached by foot! Porto Vecchio, a night life hot spot, is only a 20 minute drive away.

We booked a room through booking.com and thought it would be a classic hotel room: - Well the room was located in a building outside of the hotel part so it was pretty awkward. You are not close to the breakfast or the pool of the hotel. The rooms are OLD. - The hotel and the rooms are NOT on... More

Just the worse place ever... No electricity in our room to start with which took more than 3 hours to get fixed. Still, after all that, the airco didnt work either. Staff so arrogant... No more words to describe! I could just be happy that we were just two with no children yet and could take the time to look... More

We stayed at the Caranella in September 2008 and loved it. Florence on Reception was really friendly and helpful and upgraded our room as the residence was not too busy. Ali the maintenance guy was really good, sorting out our problems very quickly and always a kind word and a smile when you met him around the property. The hotel... More

26 years ago we fell in love with Corsica .......not difficult as it's undoubtedly the loveliest island in the Med, offering unspoilt beautiful beaches warm clear water and a rugged interior ..always with the underlying aroma of dried herbs. It was Caranella Village that we made our holiday home.Over the years we have seen many changes in the village ...not... More

We like to visit places that have been created by people who love the Country and the area. This is the case of Caranella which was first built and run by Sam and Gerald with their wives Caran and Pamella, hence the title. The spirit of the Village has not been lost over the years nor with new mangement. It... More
