A very nice, comfortable, and remote farm that was surprisingly easy to find, just as Joe had directed. Joe met us in his wellies, coming in from checking the sheep, a breed that can eat seaweed, we learned. The bed was very comfortable in an odd sort of way. The mattress was not firm but it felt like you were...

My boyfriend and I stayed at Romesdal B&B for three nights in May, as the last part of our Scotland trip. The start of our trip had been pretty hectic and physically strenuous, and the Romesdal B&B was just the perfect place for some peace and quiet. Joe was a lovely host, very quiet and unobtrusive, but so accommodating. Conversations...

I chose this B&B mainly because it is so convenient for the ferry port of Uig. Yes, it is very close to Uig but apart from that, it is such an amazing place, immaculate through and through and Joe such a nice host (pity I didn't meet Yvonne). A hearty breakfast the next morning keeps you fit and ready for...

Joe and Yvonne couldn't have been nicer, the accommodation was beautiful - immaculate everything was plentiful and the views amazing; fabulous breakfast as well. We would certainly choose to stay there again if we were going to be on the island for a few days.

Everything about our stay at Romesdal Croft was superb! Out of all the places we stayed in Ireland and Scotland, our days at the croft will be the memories we treasure! The upstairs lounge was a perfect place to relax after a busy day out and about. The bedroom and bath were lovely......a comfortable mattress; a fluffy, warm comforter for...

A great welcome from Joe set the scene for a great stay. Great bedroom and bathroom, extremely clean, a superb view down to the loch with Joe’s highland cattle in the foreground, a great breakfast and Joe’s knowledge of the island was invaluable and helped make our stay there all the more enjoyable. We'll be back soon, and often

My son and I stayed at Romesdale Croft for 3 nights at the end of July during our tour of the highlands. Our stay at Romesdale Croft was far and away the highlight of the trip. The accommodation was immaculate and tastefully decorated- I had the double room and my son had the single bed in the roof conversion- the...

We stayed 3 nights at this lovely home, with only Joe taking care of us (Yvonne was away). He did an amazing job of making us feel welcome, and providing us with a delicious, hearty breakfast each morning. The view from the breakfast table is just so lovely: down the hill is the loch, which is actually part of the...

We stayed 4 nights with Joe and Yvonne and we felt very welcome. There is only one room, and guests can also use the cosy upstairs sitting room with a lot of interesting books to browse. The breakfast gets you through the day and the views are spectacular. The location is about half way between Uig (Western Isles ferry) and...
