Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Quaint Mexican looking place no expense spared on the decor and the rooms, our beds were very comfortable and clean. sadly the breakfast was a let down, the breakfast cook was totally disinterested, no tea, no omelettes, no bacon and no orange marmalade just basic buffet with ready cooked eggs lined up and a coffee machine.
The cook said no tea until someone said let’s ask the manager then he suddenly produced Liptons poor tea.
Swimming pool very nice.
Price reflects the level of service and general interest.

We needed a hotel in Aranyaprathet for an early morning border crossing into Cambodia and the Villa Boutique met our needs for a good price. Pros: The room is clean and they have great internet. I was even able to make a wifi telephone call over their internet. Cons: The bed was hard (but you can say that about almost all hotel beds in Thailand), no choices for breakfast (got stuck with a fried egg when I wanted scrambled).
Helpful hint: The tuk tuk at the bus station had a hard time finding the hotel when we used the correct pronunciation of Villa. They finally understood the pronunciation V-La. The hotel staff called us a tuk tuk in the morning to take us to the border.

Quirky, pleasant hotel. We stayed overnight before crossing the border. There were a few mosquitoes in the room, which was otherwise comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good. The staff were not particularly helpful. We needed to eat, but the nearest restaurant was a 15 min walk along a busy dark road. It didn't feel very safe. The staff just waved us in the general direction, and didn't explain any further. We also had to walk past barking dogs that were lose. Very unpleasant experience. However this hotel is excellent value for money.

We stayed here in room 211 for one night to catch up the bus to Bangkok the next morning. The room was okay If you're not expecting a 5 star you just have to watch out for the mosquitos, the location is far from restaurants, but I was satisfied with the dinner we had here. Very good, Breakfast was okay just cold.

Priced about right, although i would not reccomend paying more for a garden room as this is just a small decked area and about 1 metre of garden ( not a very tidy one).
Service was o.k. room nicely done with a good quality shower and the best bed i have slept in for a long time..wi fi was good.

Nice small hotel. Clean and cosy. Small room with tiny shower room. We wonder a bit about security for we found the back door were left open during night time, Mosquito can easily come in to the room. Breakfast, which is included in the room rate, is poor in both quality and quantity. The service person at the kitchen shows no sign of response at our complaint of not enough food to fulfill our requirement.

We stayed here the night before crossing into Cambodia and were surprised at its cleanliness and staff. We left our motorcycle in their lot with CCTV and a guard, and our extra backpack for no charge while we were gone. A new restaurant across the highway had good food and an awkwardly friendly owner which was an experience but no other food options around. Breakfast was toast, eggs, ham, and coffee. Everything about this place was "just the basics" but they do it very well.

Arrived here late at night before an early morning border crossing into Cambodia. After arrival the man on reception organised us a tuktuk to take us out for food and wait for us to bring us back for 200baht as the hotel wasn't close to any restaurants. Wifi worked well in the room but the rooms could have done with a deep clean as we found a few hairs around the bathroom. Didn't get given any information on breakfast when we checked in but the next morning the receptionist gave us vouchers and pointed us across to the little coffee shop and we got served fried egg and ham with bread. Overall a great place to stay if you're just looking for a good nights sleep and convenient for the border as it was only 5 minutes away by tuktuk.

Comfortable room, nice pool, unlimited but basic breakfast (buffet of toast, cereal, fried eggs, rice porridge and processed meats). Has a gym but was charged 70thb to use it.

The location is by the road to the border, but separated by the railway line. Walking in the dark from the station was a bit scary. In daytime it would be ok. If you do it check the map carefully because the road is on the other side of the railway and you cross just beside the hotel.

The border is about 5km away. I paid 100thb for a tuk tuk. When you get to the border the exit is on the left down a caged walkway clearly marked by official signs, not the agencies that people guide you to!
Cambodian entry formalities is after a small weird town of casinos and duty free shops. I did think i'd entered without completing passport control, but it's after that.

I would recommend NOT staying overnight in this border area if you can avoid it. But if you do the Thai side seems nicer than the Cambodian side and this is a nice hotel, though a bit more expensive than i would normally pay.

Contrary to some other reviews the receptionist at least spoke English well.
