Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A few steps from immigration queue, it is a nice spot to stop over on the way from or to Cambodia but there is nothing else to do except shopping. You will be nearly in the middle of nowhere. Room charge is quite high at 680 Thai baht per night for one person. The room is clean with well design but rather small. Window exists but you cannot see outside directly from that window. Since there are only three storeys, no elevator is available so you need to carry your luggage through staircase. Receptionists do not have enough service mind, compared to other hotels in general.

It is very much on the border. 6:00 to 22:00 you can cross. For me and my partner it is very well located as we attend the neighbouring market Rong Kluea for shopping. Yes I could fault the place. But it served its purpose. And we were both happy, nice cool air-con. Good location. For foreignors travelling my advice is: Ignore the touts trying to scam outside. The shuttle to Bangkok or Pattaya is cheaper if you arrange it yourself. Remember they trying to make a living so dont endanger yourself by being overly rude.

I left Poipet late so stayed one night. It is right at the border so no taxi needed. The room was big enough, there were a few mosquitoes but the office has cans of spray that work well. I slept great on the saggy bed with 4 big soft pillows. I didn't need the air/con. The one drawback is the TV has no English channels. There's not much to do at night in the area. Across the street is a place with KFC and Dunkin Donuts and a few shops. On a side street by the train tacks are some food carts and a 7-11. The office has a few tables and there are a few more out front. They have a menu with a few Thai dishes. They have western breakfast from 8 AM. The Wifi was strong and reliable. I usually stay father down the road at a place with a pool but I wanted to check out this area.

It's right next to the Border and Market. Convenient, brightly coloured, and have all the basic amenities like good WiFi, TV, aircon etc. Staff is friendly and welcoming. A good stopover after 2.5 hour journey from Siem Reap before moving on to Bangkok.

The only reason to stay here is if you arrive too late to cross the border into Cambodia. Having said that there are better quality options in Aranyaprathet. Staff were pleasant enough and there is free secure parking onsite. Rooms are pretty basic but the wifi is ok and the shower and air con work well. On the downside, bedding was stained and lots of ants running about. The whole area is pretty unpleasant it's like Asias version of the Wild West. I've stayed in worse places but not many.

The @border Hotel in Aranyaprathet by Tripadvisor is the same at Watthana Nakhan. The border Hotel is close to the Border and the Rong Kluea Market. Many things changed since our last visit one year ago: This time in our room the floor was full with many small and big death cockroaches and other insects. The wifi is closed, you need your own connection. The TV has only one channel with a very bad reception. The staff is unfriendly and didn´t understand or want not understand english. In the night you hear loud music from elsewhere.

Extremely good location right before the Immigration opposite Star Plaza and next to Rong Kluea Market with a big carpark that is free for hotel guests but don't forget to get the parking ticket stamped from the hotel staff, otherwise you will have to pay for the parking because the hotel shares the parking space with others. There is also a Hong Kong Roast Duck Noodle Shop and 5 STAR chicken located here as well. Very affordable and clean. Downside of this hotel was the wifi that seems to be lost in connection at all times and the noise even though windows are closed due to hotel being on the main road. Rooms are spacious but with the basics...no refrigerator or hot kettle. I recommend this hotel if you plan to buy stuff in the market, cross the Cambodian border to gamble in the border casino or just for a visa run.

This hotel did not get good reviews, so we did not expect a lot!! For the price , it is an ideal place to stay if you want to overnight and enter Cambodia early the next morning..It is right next to Cambodia - Thailand border as well as near the bus stop from Bangkok. We had a clean room, with flat screen TV , and staff was helpful

Horrible, dirty, infested rooms. Extremely stupid and useless staff. The shower pressure is bad, the smell outside is horrid. Very noisy outside due to main road. Stay at your own risk only if you need to cross the border.
