Enjoyed our 4 night stay in this resort. I booked 2 rooms for my family of 4 adults which was reasonably priced. The rooms are good size. We had a nice view of the town and sea. They also provide purified water. Buffet Breakfast was included, and there was a variety of food served. It was great that it was open at 6:30 am. The restaurant menu had good selection. They provide pool towels. It is on quiet street. There is a mini-fridge. The hotel takes credit cards without transaction fees which is great. The hotel had a beautiful swimming pool though we didn’t use it since we were diving everyday. The hotel has its own Dive Shops and the dive staff were awesome. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Very attentive service and all rooms with air conditioning so you can control the temperature to your liking.

In the breakfast buffet we miss some more variety, although we must highlight the stand of fried eggs, tortillas and pancakes that make you at the moment.

One thing we didn't like was that when ordering packed breakfast they didn't take our preferences into account. There was a misunderstanding in the packed breakfasts that we could not solve.

We stayed 2 nights at the Corto del Mar. The hotel is reminiscent of a hacienda!
The rooms are spacious (impressive ceiling height!), with massive furniture. Clean room and bathroom.
Very practical detail: each room is equipped outside facing its front door with a rack which allows belongings to be dried after sea excursions, which is very appreciated.
We tried the hotel restaurant one evening, very good and plentiful, the service was attentive.
Buffet breakfast, pancakes are made to order. Simple choice but it has what you need.
The hotel is not very far from the port (accessible by tuk tuk) for departures for excursions.
Quiet hotel (little car noise, however dogs and roosters can be heard part of the night!).
Good hotel in Coron.

We had a nice stay at this hotel. Although the room wasn't ready when we checked in (we arrived at 8am), the hotel was nice enough to provide transportation form the airport to the hotel, and arrange for a private tour while we could experience the islands before checking in. The server as wonderful.

The room was old, didn't have proper air conditioning, and had ants throughout the bathroom. They only gave us two small beds for a family of four, but I asked for a rollaway bed and they were were able to provide it for us. The room was spacious.

The restaurant was nice, although it had the same menu everyday. The breakfast was decent as well, but had many pork options which we cannot eat without many substitutes. Even the chicken parmigiana had pepperoni on it.

I would call this a 2 or 3 star hotel in the US. If you're expecting this, you will have a nice experience, but we made the mistake having higher expectations.

We had 3 nights at the Corto del Mar situated in the heart of the main town and only a few minutes from the ferry and 30 mins to the airport. As many have already reported there are benefits of being the best hotel in town next to the locals, the shops and the restaurants but this is offset by the disadvantages of being the best hotel in town, next the locals, the shops and the restaurants. The rooms are decent and large, the food was ok and most of the staff seemed keen to help. There is a fabulous pool but the furniture and grounds need work and why don’t the bar staff be a bit more active in selling their product ? The hotel has a relationship with a couple of local boats that operate the day trips, ours was a disaster but hopefully they have improved by the time you arrive. Or pick one of the 100 others on offer outside the hotel and at a lower price. Enjoy……

We were a bit dubious upon arrival as the hotel is located down a dark unmarked laneway but were then pleasantly surprised by the welcoming ambience of the entrance which encompasses reception, the restaurant and outlook onto the large pool.
Our room on the top floor was large with a balcony both front and back and overlooked the residential squalor below and harbour.
It seems every family has a rooster and they crow mostly 24 hours per day. Stray dogs are everywhere and they bark throughout the night (this would be common regardless of where you stay in Coron Town). Fortunately the buzzing of our ceiling fan helped to soften some of the noise.
I loved the bathroom with its large shower (but often tripped on the stepdown in/out of the bathroom (this needs to be highlighted with a red or fluoro safety strip). The room's aircon worked great.
Breakfast offered a number of choices but we both became ill after one morning. We can't pinpoint what it would have been but days later we're still suffering.
The pool is fabulous but the old timber lounges need urgent replacement. They are unsightly, uncomfortable, heavy to move, padding is filthy and they can't be adjusted. The grass and garden could also do with attention.
Overall, a lovely place to stay and staff were friendly and helpful. If the pool area had been more comfortable I would have rated 5/5.

I absolutely enjoyed staying at this Hotel, from the time I arrived the staff has been nothing but accommodating and extremely nice, the rooms are comfortable and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay in the Island. The hotel has free wifi, fridge, safety deposit box, a wonderful working full bath, comfy beds, a nice pool and a few rooms with a view...and yeah! It's eco-friendly, your card key basically operates all the electricity in your room by inserting it in a central control box in your room, when you leave to do your daily adventures, overall power in your room gets turned off (it could be a bummer though if you leave a laptop or iPad to charge) but oh well, you came here for leisure & pleasure not to work right?

Overall this hotel has many of the creature comforts one would ever need to have a wonderful vacay, it's very close to town and to many local establishments, proximity to the main dock for your Island adventure is not that far, it is only a "tricycle" away. If you book a package like mine, a van will take you to all the places in your itinerary.

Oh, One more thing, typical vacation packages for this hotel includes breakfast vouchers - they do have a delicious selection of breakfast from American, continental and traditional Filipino dishes, I do love their bar and their friendly bartenders - yup! Must have that alcohol wherever I maybe haha

Enjoy your stay at Coron! Have the most amazing time!

We visited Coron last month for 5 days. "Herve", I believe the Hotel manage or owner was very helpful and patient with us in obtaining the S-Pass to enter Palawan. At the airport, I was told by several staff that the hotel was very nice. We were excited. As we arrived staff there were very cordial, offered cold drinks and a cool wet cloth to freshen up. Our deluxe room was on the 3rd floor, had a nice view of the sea on one side and the swimming pool on the other. The room had a refrigerator, a lot of closet space, safe and a great working AC. These were the things that mattered the most to me in a room. The restaurant on site was incredible. There was no need to really eat anywhere else. Everything we ordered we shared because all the dished were so good, not to mention the breakfast was included. The staff are the friendliest and possibly the best hosts I have been cared for. I would definitely come back and highly recommend staying at Corto del Mar.

Response from Herve Martin, General Manager at Corto del Mar Hotel
Responded 22 Jun 2022
Dear Burqueman505, Thank you for taking time to write us a wonderful review. It was such a pleasure to have you here and to talk to you from time to time. The Spass was a bit of a surprise for incoming guests but now it has been removed so getting to Coron is easier compared to before. Our deluxe room is our biggest basic room, which has a huge balcony. There is a small price difference compared to the entry room types so I do suggest for other guests to get this room instead. Again thank you very much for staying with us. I'm glad you got to do most of the things to be done here, and we certainly hope to welcome you back soon!

I spent a couple of nights here while diving. It's a beautiful property, with amazing woodwork, conveniently right in the town of Coron. The room was comfortable. There was a small TV, and wifi worked well. Breakfast was included and was fine, as were several other meals I had there. Service was very good. The hotel apparently saves some rooms at higher prices on internet sites, even when they're saying locally that no rooms are available. It was a little confusing that the hotel arranged for a van ride from the airport that was dedicated to their hotel. On the way back, they arranged a ride that stopped at numerous hotels to fill every seat. You may wish to verify the arrangements more than I did!

The hotel is gorgeous—with medditerranean-inspired interiors, wooden detailing, and some historical artifacts on display (great for history lovers!) There's also a lounge pool with a deep end and I believe the hotel can arrange diving lessons to those interested.

It is well-situated and right in the center of town, but peaceful and quiet at night. Everything you need is just a liesurely few minutes walk away—from cafés to restaurants and the city's flourishing night life scene. But if you prefer not to walk, you can ask any of their friendly staff to hail you a tricycle to your destination.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and ideal for
both couples and families alike. We were served a generous complimentary breakfast as well (the danggit is very good! you can also ask them to get you some ready to cook ones to take home)

Feel free to ask the managers or any of the staff for places to eat and things to see, or arrangements you'd like to make and they'll happily assist you. Everyone you'll meet in the hotel is super nice and very helpful :) In our two night stay, I got to learn more about the locals, the culture, and their experiences from the great managers as well as their staff (shout out to kuya Peter 😄 hehe)

Will definitely be back!!

The city of Coron does not have many sandy beaches, but there is a couple of small beaches that you can ride to pretty easily. We went to one called "Bali Beach" after we visited the hotsprings. If you go further there is also "Cabo Beach". Keep in mind though that there are STUNNING beaches to see on the boat tours. They are a little far but worth the trip.

We did checked in early, at around 10am, but it took a bit of negotiation. The staff were a bit hesitant at first. Just give it a try.
