What a novelty this place is with mixed blessings. An incredible location with what looks like over 10 kilometers of pristine beach, with a few dozen people. It took a little over two hours to drive from PVR: rough roads towards the end but not dangerous. At 70 years old, I never found a chair that was comfortable; basic good...

This is a fun little beach front hotel that is family run. We loved the proprietors Fernando and Mary. There is no language barrier which makes a nice relaxing visit. Our rooms were clean and everything functioned. It's not fancy but that is not what we were there for. You can eat dinner with the family of what ever they...

When I first walked onto the beach I was surprised at its' beauty for as far as I could see it appear virgin. Marcelino, Fernando and family made my stay feel like home. With grace they prepared all the meals outside, under the palapa, cooked over wood fires, and we eat under the palms with our feet settle in the...

First time in Mayto - friends drove myself and 2 gal pals to this funky, fun, clean, comfortable, wonderful escape. Hot water was awesome int he showers - towels were ample, but I brought my own, as well as my own special pillow. Beds, as in all of Mexico, were on the hard side - which is great for my...

We called ahead ask if they accepted dogs and we're told by the owner "as long as they are not Great Danes or German Shepherd. " We reserved 2 rooms for 2 adults and 3 medium size dogs. We made the 3.5 hour drive from San Pancho to spend the night on Christmas Day. Upon arrival we were told our...

Spent three nights here with a group of people and had a great time. The beach is unreal and seeing the baby turtles being released was really cool. The place is rustic and there is bugs the atmosphere and our hosts make up for anything minor. The bar is on the honor system you record what you eat or drinks...

Fernando, Maricela and Joe are great. They will cook the fish you caught. Ten km of beach and no one else there. An honour system bar, you just write down what you drink and pay at the end of the week.

Where to start? Don't expect hot water, electricity, a comfortable bed, decent towels, and needless to mention internet service(they claim to offer the service but it was never available) or television. I woke up in the dark a few times trying to go through my belongings in the dark and making my way out of my room. An unpleasant experience...

What a fun place, not the Hilton, but we didn't want the Hilton! Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner and some wine by the ocean. A rustic get-away, very relaxing and just what we wanted.
