Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As soon as you arrive, you feel like you've stepped into a lovely Provençal film. Breakfast in the garden under the tree. -“loud” with the song of the cicadas. The serenity and joie de vivre are almost palpable in the Domaine❤️ The charming small towns of the regio attract not only their beauty, but also their gastronomic value. the small farms, lavender fields, olive groves and vineyards create an inspiring environment not only for relaxation but also for creation. Small villages, narrow streets, small squares, the smell of cakes emanating from bakeries… The scent of lavender is carried far away by the wind, and the purple fields accompany us long after we return home. Emilie - the soul of the house, is charming ... she enchants you at the first meeting. Love at first sigh….❤️ In short - the facts... "Earthly things"😉rooms are spacious, clean, wonderful view of the garden, breakfast is heavenly…🙂 I would like to go back and experience this miracle again❤️

Property's Favourite Review
I could not recommend Domaine la Carraire more. This was a beatiful old family home which has been restored by Michel. His wife, Emilie, was our hostess and made the stay unforgettable with her warmth and hospitality. Emilie gave us so much advice and information on the beautiful surrounding area. Her breakfasts under the trees each morning were incredible and she was so lovely to chat to. The house and surrounding grounds are just so peaceful and authentic to the region. Our bedroom was large and spotlessly clean with shutters opening out to the spectacular countryside. I did not want to leave this place and I would love to come back!

Sophie has been an exceptional host sharing her love for her “Provence” and providing daily advice with an eternal smile. The house is very well decorated and an opportunity to step back in an idealised time (the fields become a live masterpiece or the place where you can find the swimming pool). The breakfast is ultra generous and so delicious we always ended up starting the day later than originally planned! Last but not least, the domaine is ideally positioned, surrounded by the most amazing villages in Luberon (Lourmarin, Lauris, Lacoste, Bonnieux, Curcuron are all a short drive away). Thanks again Sophie!! We will come back soon !

If you are looking for expend a good time I recommend La Domaine la Carraire. This historical true Provenzal House has a special and charming ambient. Excellent service (thnks Sophie!) and very nice rooms! Wake up on the morning and have ready breakfast on the garden is spectacular. Listening the birds, smelling the flowers and lavenders around the house will give you a renovation of your energy. From here you can visit many places and villages of the region and, if you arrive in good season, the full growing of lavender fields!

A lovely location near a cherry orchard. Quiet and serene. Charming house and rooms. Delightful breakfast with fresh jams. Beautiful garden and swimming pool. You are allowed to put your shopping in your box in the fridge. I would return.

The rooms - all in different colours - are lovely and furnitured with care, in the kitchen you find everything to prepare meals - our goup from Germany had the pleasure to rent the whole house - and serve at huge tabel under old trees. Whenever help or information is needed, the family is charming and helpful. You can enjoy the group or separate and find hidden places in the well kept garden to breath the air, enjoy olive and cherry trees, walk through winegrowing fields and taste the delicious wine. What a place to spend some beautiful days and hoping to come back one day. Thanks to the owner who have done and still do a great job that comes from their heart.

All reviews are coloured by ones expectations and experiences. I found the Luberon underwhelming and spoilt by the tourist trade. Likewise this chambre d'hôte was a disappointment, the house had seen better days and was extremely cold, the beds were very low and the coverings inadequate. The bath was too small even though there was plenty of hot water. As far as I could see there were no fire precautions, and with the kitchen below ,if there had been a fire the place would have gone up like a torch! There was rather a beautiful 'basin' in front of the house but a child could have easily fallen in as it was very deep and no fencing! It was rather scruffy and as far as the breakfasts were concerned they varied from rather nasty croissants to bits of bread and jam. If you are no used to much then I would say it's OK!
