We stayed for 2 nights in the self catering part. The family cottage was oke, it might have been a bit to big for just the 2 of us. The main things were available, fridge, tv, kitchensupply, braai although it would have been nice to see some detergent. As the store only had larger bottles for a month. And there...

Camping at Glen Reenen base camp was an experience I will not soon forget. From struggling to get the tent to stay up in the wind, to the buffet dinner at the hotel, to walking the Wodehouse trail. Wow! Wow! Wow! The cell signal was even better than at home (just so you know)! The highlight was definitely standing at...

The surroundings are beautiful and many of the most popular walks start right across the road. The rondawels are compact but well-apportioned and well-maintained. Fridge, toaster, kettle, full stove, with decent cutlery and crockery. No baths, only shower. The braai area adjacent each rondawel is not great - is surrounded by a high screen - which makes it feel quite...

Great experience in this beautiful Golden Gate area! Good quality for the price, easy access to every Hiking trail...loved it! You can see Zebra, Wildebeest, Springbok and also Jackal :-) I've been there a few times with different type of people: friend, girlfriend, parents, they all loved it

The best thing about this camp (the rest of it is not bad at all, by the way) is its wonderful location, right in the middle of the park. Consequently, it's the starting point for great, short or longer, hikes in the beautiful sandstone mountains. Fabulous in early mornings and late afternoons. Watch out for the babboons though, they're not...

This location is the best in the park. The rondawels and longdawels are well maintained. The only complaint is that the londawels only have a wall heater which is absolutely useless for winter in rooms that size. The rooms are serviced once a day. There are very nice walks from the camp site across the road. The staff were pleasant...

Stayed for two nights, the chalet has everything you need and for the price you cant complain. Unfortunately the room adjoins another room in the chalet and you can hear whatever the other guests are doing and smell whatever they are cooking. The outdoor braai patio is enclosed and private albeit a bit cage like, the outdoor table was broken....

As two friends travelling we wanted to stay in the family units which have fire places and separate bedrooms. Having been told by reception that they were fully booked we strolled over to take a look. The units had not been made up and all the linen lay on the floors for two days while we crammed into a smaller...

Glen Reenen is a beautiful campsite at the foot of the mountain, with lots of large trees. The amblution blocks were cleen and always had enough hot water. Also nice kitchen facilities with 2 plate stoves. The hiking trails are well marked and takes you through beautiful scenery. Definitely not to be missed!! The shop stock all the basics, from...
