Spent time here on holiday. Smallish rooms but nicely furnished with French windows (of course) facing the ocean over a small deck. Restaurant below is quiet (although the seagulls try to break through the reverie) and offers very good food and wine. It was quiet, and promoted relaxation and reflection.

A hidden gem in this part of Brittany. Take a table by the window, with a great view of the ocean and boats bringing in the fish you will eat. The fish does not get any fresher than this! Preparations are imaginative and excellent. Meats also very well prepared. Make sure you leave room for delicious deserts. Friendly and efficient...

We stayed 2 nights, mainly to join the immersion Day at the Cite Haliotika, an excellent museum re fishing. This was an excellent day, even though conducted in French. Through the tours, etc., we learned a great deal about ocean fishing and its development in Guilvenic. It remains a busy fishing and shipyard port. This small hotel is virtually ocean...

Great value for money - I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a simple spot to relax. Why? super views from the bedroom and restaurant, friendly staff who were really helpful, simple but filling breakfast and delicious food for dinner in the restaurant (which wasn't at all noisy from our room). We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing start...

Le Poisson d’Avril’s restaurant couldn’t be in a better place. Le Guilvinec is France’s third most important fishing port and Le Poisson d’Avril is within 200 metres of the landing quays and auction houses. Fish doesn’t get fresher than this! And it is reflected in the menu, though there are good meat options too. Choosing from the 29 € menu...

I had a couple of days in this small hotel in Le Guilvinec in June 2007. My room was nicely made up and had a view of the sea. Overall a very pleasant place to stay if you want to go somewhere to enjoy some quality rest and relaxation. The staff were friendly and I would certainly go back if...
