It is just a 15 minute walk to a stunning view of St. Michael's Mount, the local pub is 8mins walk and the shops and centre of Marazion is just a 15 minute walk down the hill. Wheal Rodney Holiday Park has a warm and well maintained swimming pool on site, which kids and adults alike love; the cost of your swim is included in the nightly price per lodge/pitch. Our holiday park is very family friendly and also welcomes dogs if booked in advance. We provide some great off season prices and our self-catering bungalows/holiday cottages are always very popular, so book early to avoid disappointment! Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I return here regularly for several years now. We love it! So quiet and peaceful and it’s pretty central for us during our stay. The nearest pub is a comfortable 10 minute walk. I hope this place never changes, perfect!

This was our first trip to Cornwall and we wanted somewhere that could act as a base for us to explore and Wheal Rodney was perfect!! We chose to camp and it was amazing, the toilets and showers are clean and well kept, there is a sink area and a separate area to get ready in with mirrors and hairdryers. There are sinks for washing up and washing machines for clothes at a small price. There is also a small fridge which you can store a few items in, they just ask you to label them up. There is an onsite shop that sells everything you could need. The site is only a 10/15 minute walk into Marazion itself where you can explore the beautiful beach and take in the amazing views out St Michaels Mount. It is only a 15/20minute drive to Penzance and to St Ives making it an ideal base from which to explore. Every staff member that we came across was incredibly friendly and couldn't be more helpful! A huge thank you to you all. There is also an amazing pub called The Fire Engine at the end of the road, delicious food if you are looking for a quick bite to eat.

We booked this site for its proximity to Marazion and also the district to the Scilly park and ride. Marazion was an easy & pleasant 15minute walk across the field and then on a quiet lane downhill ending in the central area, or a 10 minute walk to the fire engine pub. The staff were superb and offered the best welcome we have ever had on arrival with a welcome pack and a dog treat for our pooch. The pitches are nice but on the smaller size, the road noise was more than we had expected and started fairly early. The site had a small shop and a decent wash up / laundry area. The showers were good but slightly bijou, but clean and functional. I would say that the site ideally suited smaller vans due to the size of pitches and turning areas when filling with water & access roads. When moving on to the Scilly parking we got there in less than 10 minutes. Buses stopped right outside the site entrance and we got a bus to St Erth station and the train to St Ives. Overall a friendly site with good facilities. including an indoor swimming pool, which we didn’t get to try.

Hi Steve K, Many thanks for your review! First of all, thank you for your comments about our welcome upon arrival and staff in general; we are really proud of the customer service level we offer to our guests so it's great to hear about! We're also really happy that you found our facilities good and clean - what a shame you didn't get to try our wonderfully warm pool! We do have the A394 nearby as the crow flies - it can be noisy on occasion so I'm sorry that you noticed this during your stay. It does however mean that we are really well situated for days out and bus routes so that does mean every so often there is a noise inconvenience, apologies. We are a long thin holiday park but pitch 2 is quite generous at approx. 11.25m x 11m - we tried to make sure that this was ample for your 5.4m van conversion but I'm sorry you found this to be on the smaller side. Should you ever need to park for the Scillies travel again, you know where we are! Kindest regards, Donna, John and all the WRHP team

We had a lovely stay at this fantastic small and friendly campsite!, loved the swimming pool and the short walk into Marizion. We added an extra days stay just days before we were due to come, it was no trouble to do and the correspondence from the campsite was brilliant. Also appreciated an email the day before we were due to come to advise of road closures and give us new directions. I intend to book again for next September and come down with friends. Thank you

Wonderful site. Really nice feel. Excellent value for money. We stayed in a holiday lodge which was a home away from home. Lovely indoor pool that we used most days. Shop that seems to stock everything. 10 minute walk to Fire Engine pub in Marazion with awesome views and great food.

We had a lovely time camping here. The site is nice and small, the showers are amazing and it's really nice and quiet. about a 25 minute walk into Marazion, but that saves you fighting with traffic and trying to find a parking space. The swimming pool is good, lovely and warm. The staff are really helpful and welcoming and the shop is very handy and not expensive at all! Looking forward to going back as it is a perfect base to explore that end of Cornwall!

What an absolute gem of a site. On arrival we were met by a friendly team, pitch was ideal for our day van with awning. Facilities spotless (in fact whole site was spotless) including washing up area and laundry facilities, with a well stocked shop. Nothing missing at all. The indoor pool was fabulous too! Can't speak highly enough about the site. Will definitely be back!!!!

Well, we are about to leave the most wonderful campsite at Marazion. This is our fourth visit and the reason we keep coming back each year is that the site is always clean, well maintained, excellent facilities and super friendly staff. The site is an easy walk into Marazion and to St Michaels mount. A couple of miles away is the lovely beach of Perranuthnoe, great for swimming. We are off today to Falmouth where we perform in the International Shanty Festival so hopefully will be back next year. Thank you Wheal Rodney
