I’m a fairly frequent visitor to the area due to my work commitments and I normally stay at this location.

The experience this visit was as normal with the staff being helpful and professional at all times. Of particular note is Lynne on reception. I had a telephone with her prior to my arrival and she handled the query and request in a polite, understanding and professional manner.

Thank you again for an enjoyable stay.

We came from west Sussex to stay for two nights as a base for climbing pen y fan, the staff are so welcoming and really nice, you could feel it was a friendly and nice environment to be. Room was completely spotless which was reassuring as lockdown is just easing. Bed soooo comfy. There was no cleaning done after night 1 but we expected that due to the Covid situation etc and you can easily get fresh towels and milk sachets at reception, nothing is/was an issue. We’ll definitely be back to stay again to do more of the Brecon Beacons (once our legs have recovered!) Had dinner at the Harvester next door, I wouldn’t bother again it felt sticky and dirty and the staff were overwhelmed (but they’re nothing to do with the nice premier inn hotel )

The room was the standard layout of most premier inns with a comfy bed and extra pillows that are in a bag with a seal so you know they are clean and haven't been used. Our room was about as far away from reception and at the end of the corridor so was very quiet.

A time for breakfast had to be pre-booked due to restrictions and when we went it wasn't too busy. The food was ok, but a couple of minor errors with the service and food order and wasn't really value for money for what we ate.

Easy to find, convenient location and have stayed here before. Very helpful and knowledgeable reception staff. Booked for the rugby weekend and compared to hotels closer to the city centre this was exceptional good value for money.

We have stayed here four times & on every occasion the staff have been fantastic to us. The first time we checked in at 11am ( far too early) & just wanted to ensure our room would be held as we were on our way to Newport hospital. Not only did they get the room ready immediately the made us a cup of coffee while we waited. On the occasion just before Christmas when we there for the same reason we returned very late at night to mince pies waiting for us. We’ve had maps drawn for parking near the hospital by the staff. We’ve just returned from two nights there due to the inevitable happening & again their kindness was so touching. I had no doubts about Covid as everything is signed & sanitizer out in abundance. Looking forward to staying again for happier reasons. Anyone fancy a coffee out visit the cafe at The Secret Garden, the views are incredible.

We were visiting family who live in the area so what we really wanted was somewhere clean comfortable and convenient to stay and that's exactly what we got. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. (We've stayed there several times over the past few years.) Breakfasts at the Harvester next door are very good so we've never tried the one in the Premier Inn. The rooms are comfortable and they provide all the essentials. Good value for money.

However, the hotel caters a lot for people working away from home, who have vans, which take up a lot of room in the car park. The spaces should be bigger to cater for this.

We stayed at this Premier Inn on 20.08.2022 during our latest visit to the area to visit our daughter.

We’ve stayed in numerous Premier Inns and, of course, they are all the same and very corporate so there’s not a great deal to say if you know the format. However, this one is in a good, quiet, location with good access to roads to get around the area and, in room 102, we didn’t have any issues with noise which was welcome given it is on the ground floor, close to the reception area. We received a very warm welcome from the staff who were extremely courteous

Sadly, there was no air conditioning in our room so, as always, with these types of hotels it was very warm over night so difficult to sleep

We would be happy to visit again though

Staff were very friendly and helpful in arrangng dinner. However, the family room was quite cramped for 4 of us including a cot. Not much space to move around. Room was generally clean, shower curtain needed refreshing as it smelt damp.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, arrived early evening and welcomed by sue she was very helpful sorted out our check in and pointed us in the right direction so some near by pubs for dinner. Couldn't fault the cleanliness of the room, rooms had signs on saying they had been clean. Our room wasnt cleaned during our stay but we expected this in current situation. Just had to ask reception for clean towels when needed. Restuarant was open for breakfast and everything is brought to you at the table so no walking around. We also had excellent help from Pippa on reception. Nothing is to much trouble for them.
Will definitely be visiting again
Thanks

The heater fell off the wall twice, thankfully not on my husband foot. The room wasn't clean, huge brown stain on the floor, another on the wall. Though the bedding was clean as was the shower and bathroom. The room wasn't cleaned on the first night, wet towels still in pile waiting to be changed, no top up of tea or coffee or milk... Been staying at this hotel for over 30 years, never has it been like this. One very friendly receptionist, who always goes out of her way to welcome us, ask about family, and really make us feel welcome.
