Had to pay extra for having pets with us but room dirty and half eaten food in room. Plates with food and half drunken coffee cups in cupboard. Obviously not been cleaned by house keeping but we as pet owners have to pay extra for pets. It is a joke. No cleaning but charge extra for extra cleaning.

We booked a standard room for one night. The cost was 177 euros so with that amount of money we expected to have a decent room. The room was awful. Dirty walls, worne out furniture, broken lamp, not enough lights, very old faucets and shower, no hair dryer.

We were here for two nights as part of our Inlandsbanen train trip. Although there's not much to do in Gallevare, we enjoyed staying here. It's conveniently located across from the lovely train station. At midnight we crossed the street and climbed the stairs of the railway overpass so we could get a good glimpse of the midnight sun just hovering over the horizon and never setting. Actually, a better view is from the roof area of the hotel where the pool is located. The hotel is a couple ofblocks from the only mall and a couple of restaurants.

Great hotel! The only reason it gets 4 not 5 stars is that there is no kettle in the room. The room was clean, well presented, and had quite a lot of space. The bathroom was very nice. Breakfast was good, with lots of food to chose from. Only complaint was the taste of the coffee. I don’t like dark roast/bitter coffee (maybe it was the machines), but that is personal. Gym was pretty good, open until 22, why not 24/7? My colleagues told me the sauna was very nice. Free tea and coffee in the cafe. Having also stayed in the local Scandic, I think this is a much nicer hotel and probably worth the extra money.

We stayed in a family suite for 1 night (family with 2 teenagers). Large room. The standards are good. There were 2 double size beds next to each other. A very comfortable double armchair. A table with 4 armchairs (leather, scandinavian design) where you can take a tea or share a pizza. We enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool and jaccuzzi (rooftop) until 11pm. Eventhough the outside temperature was only 12 degrees celcius, the jaccuzzi was really warm. The pool temperature was ok. There were very few people there (we were by ourselves most of the time). There were also a sauna and a large spa corner that we didn't use. We also enjoyed the bowling on the ground floor (there is a discount price for hotel customers). The breakfast was a good buffet, with a very large choice of english breakfast (eggs, bacon, beans, bread, ...) and swedish breakfast (havengryns grött, muesli, youghourts, pan cakes...). To be noted: hotel customers can enjoy free tea and coffee in the lobby. There are several pizza restaurants less than 5 minutes walk. We did not have diner at the hotel steak house. A few points that are not 4 stars : - the lobby/reception is very "simple", basic. - the carpet in the hall is light color and dirtt (coffee stains?), thus not giving a good first impression. Overall a very good experience. Thanks.

Centrally located and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Just across the train and bus station. Free parking space for guest. Big and clean room with scenic view. The bed was too soft to me personally. Sauna room provided. The breakfast was excellent except limited choice of bread. Staff was friendly. Highly recommended.

Great hotel and friendly staff! Breakfast is ok but lacks that little "extra touch". The restaurant is very good, both foodwise and servicewise. The latter was non-existant with the night receptionist

We booked a standard room for 3 night. Before and during our visit the communication with the hotel was quick and perfect, always kindly responsible and helpful. Our prepared room was dirty, we report it on the reception and they handle it perfectly and mediately, we got another room. As we checked the new one, we found the same problem and also report it. The receptionist checked and compensated us with a higher level room what we accepted. Finally we were satisfied with the environment and the human efforts from the service employees. Hopefully we will find a better cleaning quality in this professional hotel. Thank you for all of helps and kindles what we got. (We uploaded pictures about the high level room)

My first trip upto Gallivare and was truly spoilt being in this hotel. I didn't have high expectations as thought it would be full of backpackers and hikers but it was a great mix of people from tourism, business and friends of locals. The room was great, a nice king bed on the 4th floor. Plenty space, fab shower cubicle, hair dryer and soap/shampoo's provided. Very comfortable room. On site is the restaurant which is amazing, very popular so get a table booked early. Food was lovely, I had arctic char one night and then fillet steak the 2nd night. Starters are huge though so bear that in mind if you aren't that hungry. Drinks and food prices are expensive but that's Sweden for you. The café did endless tea, coffee and water should you just need to chill out downstairs , also served alcohol. The roof bar wasn't open when we were there but hope to get back in the next few months and try it out. Weather in August was about 17degrees so still needed a jacket but was fine during the day. Locally the train station is straight opposite , Kiruna airport was about an hours drive away.

The hotel is functional and is well situated opposite the railway station - for both Inlandsbanan and main line services. The rooms are similar to those in many other decent business hotels. They are less attractive to the leisure visitor. We were on an Inlandsbanan package and arrived late one evening. Efficient check in process. Good breakfast. Weather in July was atrocious. Not a lot of comfortable spots to avail ourselves of in these conditions. Couldn’t get a restaurant table for the Saturday night due to being fully booked - would be nice to be advised to book table when checking in - although others on the trip had no problem..... Made do with a salad in the cafe. Told couldn’t have an early morning call on departure day as phone system not working. Although could have called my mobile. Only one of the 2 beds had a bedside table. Not bad but expected a bit more.
