I have stayed in Gema a few times. It is a basic hotel, but comfortable and friendly. Fabulous choice for breakfast and plenty of it. Our room had a balcony which we sat out and looked over the well laid out grounds while sipping our sangria. Easy on the pocket and laid back. Recommended for those on a tight budget.

The hotel is good for a two star. Spotlessly clean and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is basic but plenty of hot coffee, toast, ham, cheese and salami. Melon, yoghurts, cereal and orange juice. Served between 08.30 and 11.00 each day. There is a bar, but no other food served here. Plenty of restaurants in Moraira though.... More

This hotel whose owners were very friendly - unfortunately there was no air conditioning and the fans only worked intermittently.- as the temperature was over 31 deg. This was totally unsatisfactory.. When we put on the hair dryer the whole of the electricity in the room fused. Sleeping was very difficult due to the heat. The breakfast was very poor... More

What a great little place! It's a 2 star hotel and very reasonably priced so my expectations weren't high but I cannot complain at all. It is spotlessly clean, the rooms are spacious, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the breakfast is simple but ample. With freshly cut ripe fruit every day one cannot complain. The pool area and... More

We loved Moraira and the Gema is nicely located for a stroll down to the excellent selection of bars and restaurants on the bay on the outskirts of town. Taxi needed to go more central. Hotel staff very friendly, small hotel with old fixtures and fittings but sufficient to comfortably sleep (fan - no aircon) and have a drink before... More

Rooms dated and very basic, wi-fi didn't work, they didn't receive our online booking. Staff were very friendly and keen to help although not many of them. The bar was limited and the area surrounding the pool needs a good clean.

Stayed three nights in June. Basic but clean. Oddly, breakfast is served but no other meals though a bar is available. Helpful staff. Away from the main road so very little traffic noise. Rooms on one side have balconies. It just does what it says on the tin. Too far to walk into Moraira centre unless you are very energetic... More

Stayed for a week. Great location with lots of very good restaurants with 5 mins walk, lovely easy coastal walk to town (15 mins) Large spacious and light room with nice balcony - definitely worth paying a little more to upgrade. Good bathroom with huge double bath and excellent shower over the bath. Slight issue with smelly drains. Flat screen... More

We have visited Moraira many times before and always stayed in a villa. This time we had a week here and a week in a villa over Easter. Being very lucky with the weather made it a pleasant stay, I don't think it had been open long as it was pretty quiet, Easter did fall on an unusual date this... More
