What can i say, 1st visit and was the best hotel i have been to, even had water in fridge for us on arrival. Had the place to ourselves the 1st week, felt like our own private villa with cook as we always had breakfast cooked to order. Family couldnt do enough for you, very friendly as was their immediate family who visited at the weekend. They all had family lunch and BBQ and even offered us some of what they had. Mike, the owner took us in his car to Butterfly Valley and picked us up again at no cost to us. We had booked an early trip one day and because we wouldnt make it in time for breakfast, they kindly made us up food to go. Very cautoius reagrding Covid and masks worn by staff at all time, even asked our permission to clean our room, place very clean. More guests arrived 2nd week and obviousy been before as they also got on well with the staff. Hotel not located too far from all the bars and restaurants and just down road from Drosia and The Little Greek Kitchen. If you want a quiet rlaxing hotel, then this is the place for you, and you will not be disappointed.

This was our second visit to the Alkmini. We booked at very short notice as our ferry company cancelled our campervan crossing due to covid.
We arrived late at night and were welcomed by Michael and quickly shown our room.
Rooms are basic, but clean, most are air conditioned (at extra cost) and have some crockery and cutlery (ask for more if you need it) there is also an under counter fridge.
We booked an apartment which has an extra seating area.
The hotel will also supply hairdryers, irons and 2 ring stoves if you require them. I understand they have been removed from the rooms due to covid restrictions.
Bedding and towels are changed every 3rd day.
The Alkmini is a short walk to a few shops and restaurants, although the food provided at the hotel is all fresh, cooked to order and delicious.
The pool area has sun beds (no need to reserve) and umbrellas, and a seating area for snacks and drinks.
The eating area doubles as a communal area at night with many of the guests having a relaxing drink and chatting ..... everyone was so friendly.
If you want night clubs and discos, this isn't the place. If you want clean, very friendly accomodation for a relaxing holiday then this is it.
We will certainly be going back.

Just returned from a lovely stay at Alkmini. The accommodation is quite basic, there is a kettle and fridge in the room and that's pretty much it, but you only have to ask and they will bring you a 2 ring hot plate and a couple of saucepans. We had a one bed apartment with a lovely large balcony, initially we were disappointed as it overlooked the road, but actually most the rooms do and the the road is extremely quiet leading up to the village. The bathroom could do with updating but is functional. The apartment was clean with clean sheets and towels around every other day. What makes this place so great is the general vibe around the pool and restaurant and the absolutely lovely staff. We were there for the Queens funeral and they made sure they were able to show it on the restaurant tv for the guests wanting to watch it (which was most of us, the pool emptied!) they were very respectful and kept noise to an absolute minimum during it. It's a family run place and nothing is too much trouble. The food was very good, from snacks like burgers right up to lovely home cooked authentic Greek dishes, and very good value. Thank you Alkmini, Michael, Ritsa and all the rest of the staff whose names we failed to get.

A lovely little hotel, well situated to local traditional tavernas, also the food at the hotel is lovely. The staff can not do enough for you and it is run by a very welcoming, lovely family. Pool is big and good for little ones. It is situated a 15 minute (in the heat) walk from the beach (which is shalley/pebbley). We requested a few items for our room as we were bring our little two year old, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you very much! Mike, Ritsa, Alkmini and Faye :) We hope to be coming back soon!

1st visit to these apartments and area.
We arrived late night / early hours of the morning. Greeted with a warm welcome and 3 bottles of well needed water.
The self catering apartment was basic but very spacious. Perfect for 2 adults and 1 teenager.
Lovely pool area, bonus was not getting up at the crack of dawn to get a sun lounger. Plenty to go around.
The whole place is clean and tidy and well maintained.
What makes this place is the family and staff who run it. They cannot do enough for you. They are hard working and very polite and friendly.
We ate here a fair bit and OMG the food was amazing. We were very impressed.
I was cheeky and asked if I could have something that wasn't on the menu, the response was - if I have it in the kitchen I can make it for you. Which they did.
Very quiet location, which gave us the opportunity to totally switch off.
Shop 5 mins walk away / beach 10 mins walk away. You can catch the local bus on the main road to Rhodes town 3 euros each way.
Never thought I'd be saying this but I can't wait to return next year xx

Just returned from 10days at Alkmini with my husband and 3 year old. Rooms are basic but comfy beds, balcony, fridge and working shower. The pool/bar area is fabulous! Quiet with plenty of sun beds available all day. My toddler played in the small pool happily and had it to herself most days! The family who run the place are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. They gave my daughter a free banana snack every day plus water for our trip home.

We ate at the onsight restaurant most days. Food was delicious, large portions and very reasonably priced. Meal for 3 of us and a drink averaged at around €30. Would recommend the mixed grill! Very impressive.

I would 100% book again WITH car hire…

The location is the downside. Not to much around and the local beach is a pebble beach. Shop is a 5min walk, pebble beach is a 10min walk. Probably about 5 other eateries and that’s it. The bus service is ok but can be unreliable. Taxis to Rhodes town is about €30 and to faliraki is €40. We hired a car for the last two days and loved the freedom!

Thank you for a great holiday Alkmini!

Theologos is quiet with a handful of restaurants so if you want a quiet relaxing holiday this hotel is perfect in this area. Simply furnished rooms spotlessly clean and a nice pool area with plenty of sun loungers available throughout the day.
The owner and staff are all really nice and friendly with nothing too much trouble and when we were there we met people who had been returning here for many years.

This hotel is lovely, family owned and run,the studio we are in is fairly basic but it has all you need, the bar/Restaurant area over looks the pool and is lovely.
The food is very good and very well priced.
The only snag and I say this as it may bother some people hasn't us is it's a good 10 to 15 minutes walk to the beach and too the selection of bars,Restaurants and shops, however the food in the hotel is very good and if you want a change there's a Restaurant 5 minutes up the Road called the little Greek kitchen which is also excellent and there's a grocery shop 5 minutes walk away also.
So don't let the location put you off as the hotel is lovely as are the family who own it.

Great to be back, as always relaxing holiday but the hotel owners are amazing, so attentive, so pleasant, always happy to help. One of the few gems of world!

Hotel is so clean, and if you need anything just ask

THE FOOD WOW!!! Some places claim to be the best in the area but rest assured that Alkmini is the best food you will ever have, from Greek food to European to basically anything you would like they will try to accommodate.

2 weeks never seems enough in this beautiful place!

See you again soon

Wonderful family owned and run establishment supplying top quality food in typical Greek friendly atmosphere. That good that 2/3s of occupation were returning customers some with 20+ years which says more for this place than i can say. Location is a little bit tired and the local is not of the big sandy commercial type but still nice and friendly atmosphere.

Managed to get through on the phone. They are open although they sounded a little concerned about the way things are going with numbers in general bearing in mind the way the UK are currently using a blanket approach to countries rather than island by island. Some restaurants appear to be open. I do know that the Filoxinia Hotel is closed according to another Trip Adviser member. Hope this helps.
