Sadly we had only planned a one night stay but hope to return before too long. Our room was excellent, with a spacious well finished bathroom and a mattress on the bed that Goldilocks would have totally approved of. The menu choice for both dinner & breakfast was good and the staff were attentive & friendly. Coupled with a promotional... More

We had a great couple of days at the Castle hotel late November. The rooms were very comfortable. All the bars had welcoming fires and our dogs could stay with us while we ate. Great walks in the area and a lovely garden in the pub for late night trips out with the dogs. All in all, a great time... More

Lovely as usual. The dog friendliest place ever. No stupid rules they just presume owners will be sensible with their dogs and everyone is. Fantastic breakfast. Lovely bar with roaring wood burning stove. What more could you want????

I stayed at the Castle Hotel for one night on a leisure break in Shropshire and mid-Wales. My room was quiet, clean and very comfortable. The staff were pleasant and attentive, and the restaurant's evening menu and breakfast were good. Bishops Castle itself is an interesting and attractive little town, with a variety of shops, and some nice pubs. I... More

Have just returned from a very fabulous weekend away at this lovely hotel. All the staff were more than accommodating for our various requests, always with a smile. Our two dogs were provided with a great doggie box and the hotel do not charge to bring your canine friends. Food was fresh and home cooked to a very high standard.... More
