Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.

I would have given 4 or 5 stars for this hotel if it was not for the exceedingly firm mattress on the bed and the price. I made a mistake when booking and booked for single occupancy. Completely my fault but to then charge us more than double the original price was excessive. We were still only going to be using one room. Probably the firmest mattress I have ever slept on as well.
On the plus side very clean and good Covid supervision. Also just a short walk to the bars and restaurants in the Center.

This hotel is in a great location for all the bars and restaurants, and the sea and beach , but it is basic,
had to pay to have a kettle in our room, i have never stayed in a 4 star and had to do this. noisy at night.
it also had lots of ucam students staying, so at breakfast could be a nightmare , the pool at times was overloaded with them, the pool was very cold, there was no Air conditioning in our room, planes flying overhead during the day quite noisy
all staff helpful and friendly The balcony was small a table could not fit
we booked breakfast which was O.K.

Required a small hotel to be close to family who live in the area.
Could not have found a more suitable choice.
Immaculately clean, with a very powerful hot water shower and very comfortable beds.
Staff were very helpful and amenable. Short distance to all local amenities it was a real pleasure to find this little "Gem"

Just come back from a fabulous stay at this hotel it was amazing a very Spanish hotel. The room was spotless cleaned every day bedding and towels crisp and clean. Rooms were decorated beautifully so Spanish and very cosy Jesus and he's wife were amazing could not do enough for you. Deffenetly going back again. Was a little speculative when booked but amazed when we got there.

I normally stay at the hotel along the street but it was closed for winter. I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel because it doesn’t look particularly welcoming from outside. However, check-in was really friendly and fast and the room was absolutely immaculately decorated and spotlessly clean. Beds were comfortable and toiletries were provided. I only have one small niggle which is the shower which is very awkward to use when the curtain is closed but that is only a small thing. I really enjoyed my stay.

Lovely room, very clean, very good facilities, very reasonable price, staff friendly, excellent checking in/out service, just enough of a walk from the main strip to be quiet, would definitely recommend for a peaceful break. May be going back in October. 👍

FYI.......Just in case "The Costa Cálida is the approximately 250 km stretch of Mediterranean coastline of the Spanish province of Murcia".

Yet again I find a 2* Hotel which has 5* integrity, personality, charm, and appeal. The hotel has 3 floors, averaging roughly 12 rooms per floor. The rooms are basic, but please do not take that as a negative. The room has everything that a traveler would need, and the rooms are kept immaculately clean everyday by two very hard working Maids. Fresh Towels and bedding provided daily if you should so wish, and the air conditioning in the rooms is remotely controlled and more than adequate. Flat screen TV on the wall, but mostly Spanish Channels (but Euro News TV in English). Tea and coffee making facilities.

Now to the good stuff. This is a very well run family hotel. They extend every possible courtesy to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They are very helpful, insightful and engaging. 5* Customer Service with Spanish charisma!

What really makes this Hotel extra special, and amazing value is the attached restaurant, bar and outdoor patio. Their food/drink menu and specials, which includes a Tapas Menu, extends to being the essence of what makes the Hotel Los Narejos surprisingly remarkable.

The food is not only prepared from fresh local ingredients (I have personally visited the kitchen and seen the food prepared), but is also high in quality, and very plentiful. You also have the added value that it will hardly put a dent in the daily Euro budget.

The best values are the "Menu of the Day" and the "Tapas Menu". The Menu of Day changes each day, and there are 32 items on the Tapas Menu (yes, had to try most of them). Both menus are outstanding value, and are prepared from scratch, so be please be patient because the 15 - 20 minute wait is well worth it.

Amstel Draught is only €1.50 a pint and 33cl bottles of Cruz Campo (Cruz Campo is a Spanish Premium Beer, as good as Red Estrella) and are only €1. The house wine both red and white is only €1, and is pretty good.

The Hotel is only a short 5 minute walk to the 7.5km Mar Menor Beach, and if you want a pool, go crash the Hotel Costa Narejos pool down the street (I did). No.... the Los Narejos does not have a pool, but you can rent sun lounges and sun umbrellas at the beach very cheaply.

It is also a short 7 minute walk to the famous and relatively new Restaurant Row in Los Alcazares.

In conclusion, I have to put this marvellous little hotel in my favourite 5 of all time. Having lived in the States for over 25 years and also having traveled the world extensively, staying at some of the most expensive and luxurious hotels, it well deserves its place amongst the best.

One of my favourite restaurants in Los Alcazares & a little more authentic than most. Excellent value, pork shank 8€, lamb shank 9€ & usually 2 steaks & a bottle of Rioja for 25€. Maybe not the sort of place you would eat every night (although my husband would) but as a change from 'the strip' it's well worth a visit. The Rioja is only 6€ a bottle (the white is very nice) which is half the price of most restaurants locally

We live lin Los Alcazares and have a choice of 80+ places to eat, we go to the Hotel Narejos, if we can every week.

Its great food at a great price. We can't buy the ingredients quite often for the price of dinner.

If you go to Los Alcazares , you have to eat here!! My favourite is the duck!!

We stayed 11 nights half board. Yes it's basic. Yes the TV has no British channels. No there is not a pool. However its spotlessly clean and the shower is great. All the staff are brilliant and the food excellent.
We are a slightly more mature couple who have been around. There is nothing plastic about this hotel. It was great value for money. Close to the beach and other amenities. We enjoyed 11days of Spanish hospitality at its best.
