My husband and I had a fantastic night away at the whistledown . Staff were very friendly and helpful, food in the bistro was excellent both on the sat evening and Sunday lunch, especially the deserts. Lovely bar overlooking the sea and weather was good enough to enjoy the outside area which was lovely. Bedroom was very nice, clean and...

Stayed for one night and would recommend it highly in terms of cleanliness, friendliness of staff and quality of breakfast. I had the fry and my wife had the omelette and we both had the pleasure of the tranquil bay view. The room although one of the smaller ones going by the fire escape plan was more than adequate and...

I went to the whistledown for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Fantastic surroundings, good service and delicious food. Always guaranteed a quality meal here with a good variety on the menu. There is an extensive selection of drinks on the menu also. The prices are reasonable and again service is excellent

We had a perfect day! I`m the 6th in the family to get married, we have had family weddings in the Canal Court and Darver Castle and they have been lovely but I`m delighted I decided to have my big day with The Whistledown. The function room looked superb, the food was fantastic, the service the whole day through could...

Stayed one night of a five night tour of Scotland and Ireland. Rooms were stylish very comfy. Curtains didn't close properly as the eyelets were too big for the rail. Ate in the resturant . Food was amazing. Tasted fresh very well presented. Desserts were to die for. They cater for gluten free no problem. The waitress service was first...

Very unimpressed with this and the way in which...

Have been visiting the Whistledown now for 10 years and can honestly say I have never had a bad meal there. Have yet to find somewhere that has been as consistently good over the years (apart from Home restaurant) in Belfast. Really enjoy the local produce available and how the menu keeps being varied without losing some of the favourites....

Stayed here for a night in order to attend a local event and enjoy a few drinks. The hotel was lively with a great atmosphere. Despite being busy the staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. The décor is very tasteful and the rooms don't disappoint both in terms of style and comfort. The food is good and reasonably priced....

The welcome was first class, staff focused on the guest's needs and wants with a genuine warmth and friendliness. The gueest bedrooms beautifully decorated and we'll equippedk. The food in the hotel was particularly good with attentive but unintrusive service. I will be back The hotel is situated on the promenade looking across CarlingfordLough with wonderful views of the mountains.
