Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Jane & Andy at The Cross Guesthouse are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They are happy to cater for your every whim. Such a lovely couple. The rooms at The Cross are all amazing. All are immaculate and you will want for nothing. The breakfasts the Jane & Andy provide are the best ever. All local fresh produce and all cooked to perfection. Best breakfasts we have ever had and so much choice. We will return 5*

Words can not do this place justice. It was our first trip away with our little one, which my wife and I were worried about. Andy and Jane were the perfect hosts, going the extra mile to try and say hello every morning, explaining what was in the area what to do and chat with us and helping where ever they could, (never had this before but even offered us lifts to the centre as we dont drive), the rooms immaculate well stocked with things for drinks the beds are huge and comfortable, a heater was also provided for if it got cold but the room was overall warm. I left my key on the outside of the door a lot of places would come and knock on the door but not Andy and Jane they sent a text message to let us know and with a 6 month old baby I really appreciate that. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone it was heaven, we will definitely be returning, it is a must stay if travelling to Mablethorpe, and the views in the area are outstanding Thank you for making our first holiday together special.

I visited the Cross Guest House last week for a few days with my daughter and I cant thank Andy and Jane enough for making us feel so welcome. From the moment we booked we received a text saying they're looking forward to welcoming us and the costs for breakfast if wanted it. The first day I received another text stating the room was ready (2 hours earlier than advised check in) and upon arrival Andy and Jane took the time to discuss things like the best local restaurants, mini-golf, splash park, beaches, supermarkets and where we could go to enjoy our stay. We found this so useful and took them up on all their advice and were not disappointed! The sea front was only a 20 min walk and basically straight down the road which was nice especially on the hotter days and saved on car parking in the town centre. The room was beautifully clean and tidy and the beds were very comfortable. The site itself is beautifully maintained with lawns cut, plenty of flowers and very clean. We took them up on the offer of breakfast and Andy and Jane went out of their way to give my daughter her own princess plate and mug and were were made to feel so welcomed, there was no rush and breakfast was very nice! I couldn't recommend this place enough, I also thought it was very reasonably priced for the time of year which is another reason why I picked it. Anybody travelling to Mablethorpe and wanting to stay local then you wont go wring with staying at The Cross Guest House! We will definitely be back next year!

Hi, wow, what a wonderful review. It was great to meet the two of you and we are so pleased you enjoyed the stay here and the delights of Mablethorpe. We have some great unspoiled beaches and reserves local to us, and the seals at Donna Nook are a must see in the winter months. Thanks again and we hope to see the two of you again soon. Andy and Jane.

Highly recommend staying here! Beautiful room clean, tidy, has a mini fridge, kettle with tea/coffee/biscuits. The bedding is so soft and comfy my son wants to change his bed! Andy and Jane are such lovely people, and know all the little places to go to for children. We have been before and not known about some of these places. Not forgetting the breakfast was beautifully presented and very tasty. A short holiday but made very memorable, thank you again.

What a fantastic stay. 5 stars from beginning to end. What wonderful hosts Jane and Andy were and the breakfast! what can one say? only the best ever. My friend and myself had the room that was specially adapted for people with mobility issues, lots of towels and toiletries. Tea,coffee, biscuits, small fridge but big enough to chill the wine, bubbles, beer, gin and tonic haha. I booked originally through a booking site but then contacted Jane and Andy direct because I wanted a different date. They were able to accommodate us for those date and the cost was less. So I would recommend contacting them direct for bookings. There is so much more that I could write but all I need to say to Jane and Andy is the biggest “thank you” and for people out there reading this, is what an incredible, fantastic, wonderful, marvellous place to stay.

This is the best accommodation we have ever had. It is based in a country setting. We are in our 70's and had the disabled room. Everything was very comfortable and clean. The bed and wet room were huge - perfect for us. The breakfasts were very good indeed, especially the big breakfast, the fruit salad and the salmon omlet. Definitely recommend . Every request was met in a very friendy and professional fashion. Definitely go again.
