I spent a weekend at the Auberge since I was attending a birthday party in Crissay and it was quite convenient to avoid driving at night... I had no pre-coinceived expectations and I must admit I had a great time... Crissay is very compact but unique... the Auberge is quite small, 3 to 4 rooms I believe... We were staying...

Stayed here for just one night and would thoroughly recommend it. The room was above average in size with a very nice en suite bathroom. Decoration is very modern in a retro kind of way as is the resteaurant. Very chic! We arrived early after travelling from Caen on our motorbike in full riding gear in 37 degree heat. We...

It's absolutely lovely! The owners live on site and run a "salad" restaurant downstairs downstairs which is always busy but as they stop serving early noise was never a problem - the "salads" themselves are incredible large plates of cured meats, local cheeses and foie gras with fresh leaves and vegetables followed by your choice of dessert - very very...

Very nice and romantic location (in small, old village next to the castle ruins), kind English speaking host. Unfortunately cleanliness and tidiness in the yard could be a little bit better, especially for the price you pay.

Auberge de Crissay is set below a ruined abbey, overlooking beautiful rolling countryside. It is in a delightful, peaceful village with wonderful architecture to view. The auberge itself is a gem. The rooms are clean and full of character, and have views over the countryside. There is a pool with recliners, with the abbey towering overhead, and secluded places to...

A young French couple run this very friendly small guesthouse with 4 rooms. It is wonderfully situated in a very beautiful and quiet small French village, with a view of the surrounding fields. The smalll pool is very romantically situated in a garden full of flowers with a view of the ruins of a medieval castle. The rooms are rather...

the town did not want to feed us! After travelling from the North of England to Pamplona, Spain, we needed an overnight stay in France. We chose Auberge de Crissay as this was on our route and thought an overnight stay involving sampling french cuisine and wine would be ideal. Unfortunately, we arrived later than anticipated due to traffic in...

We booked direct with Mr Jucquois at the hotel ( [--] ) This is a great overnight stop location just south of Poitiers and much better than the 3-4* hotels on the outskirts of Poitiers. Rooms are good for families although the duplex style might be a little dangerous for small kids as the double bed is upstairs and the...

Very helpfull and friendly staff. The B&B is next to the ruins of a medieval castle, which gives a romantic view from the garden with swimming pool. Room is larger then usual, but needs a little more comfort (like some extra shelves and a hair dryer). Their is no airco, but we hadn't very warm temperatures, so it didn't bother....
