Such a beautiful house! We felt very privileged to stay with Scott and John, who made us feel very welcome. We had very tasty breakfasts with them, great chats about the area and what to do as well as where to eat. They really looked after us and were so kind with the laundry. A

The only downside I can think of for a stay at this property is that you are a drive out of town to get to restaurants etc. Other than that I can't think of anything that I would criticise, we stayed in the bungalow/lodge and found it well appointed and very comfortable with a

Hi, T&J, thanks for your comments. We’re so happy you enjoyed your quiet surroundings and great views (that’s why we picked this place, of course), and as it is only a ten-minute drive into town, it is pretty close to something like a dozen restaurants, etc. One of the great things about the short distance we are from Motueka is that because we sit 100metres above the valley floor, we have (as you wrote) a fantastic view of the surrounding area – something you’d never get if we were located in town. As we said as you were about to drive off, we’d very much enjoy your company again, so in a few years, when it’s time to book your next south pacific holiday, please keep us in mind. Cheers, Scott S & John h – hosts/Awatea Tasman Bay

Dear M, how wonderful it was to see you again and we wish to say thank you for such a lovely review! We are very happy to hear that we continue to provide accommodation that is private and perfect for relaxing and admiring the panoramic view, or deciding to go out on a day trip to Abel Tasman National Park, visiting a winery from our region, or do some fishing in the nearby Motueka River (though we don’t often have fur seals in the river). We look forward to seeing you again in a couple of years :-) Cheers, Scott & John

Thanks for your very kind and thoughtful review. We are so happy that you enjoy your time here staying in our Cottage with its wonderful views. And thanks also for mentioning that we make our own breads (& sometimes bagels) for our breakfasts, and source local berries when they are in season! We hope that you enjoy the rest of your New Zealand holiday and would love to see you again one day. Cheers, Scott & John
